recently i replaced the motherboard on my 1761 with a VER.000 bios, i don't know about the version of bios, but it's pretty awesome. i7-2670QM could be turbo to 3200Mhz , but the frequency always suddenly dropped . i flashed it without backup. does anyone have the version of bios?

Hi, no needed, you can just if you have normal monitor or TV with VGA output connect to laptop via vga cable then you make flash i got that info from one college try it maybe it will works.

i just heard the fan speeding up then laptop automatically shutdown and restart over and over again...with black screen ,then i pull out 7970m finding the chip so hot that i can't even touch it..

i had the exactly same problem, the nb shutdown when pulged. but it's fine only using battery. i replaced the old motherboard with a working one.

yeah thanks,i tried but i couldn't blind flashing it in my laptop. maybe i should find an Alien laptop to flash it.

Sounds like you need to blindflash to vbios with enduro off.

is there any older version of 7970M vbios? that might work with gt780dx

i bought a Dell AMD 7970M, a proper heatsink and a 330W adapter...seems everything ready...but nothing happened only balckscreen...what's wrong？

so bad...really no way to fix it?

yesterday while i was watching videos the screen flashed with cubes and lines spreading over it.

i thought it was maybe a software problem sine i updated afterburn to 2.31. but after i restarted the laptop, the screen still flashed even in loading, then came the bluescreen.

now i have to uninstall nvidia graphic driver to use the laptop.

after searching i think some part of the memory of this card is damaged.

it's a 3GB video card, maybe part of the memory particles is still working that's why i can still use this laptop.

here is the problem: how to avoid using those broken memory particles?or i can simply remove those bad memory particles?

My laptop is GT780DX with i7-2670QM and GTX 570M oc to 780 1560 1700.Most cases 180w is enough except running program requiring both heavy use of CPU and GPU like Far Cry 3.I have a meter in plug showing power use, when I play Far Cry 3,the meter shows that the use of power often goes above 180w(the highest is above 200w),then the CPU drop frequency together with GPU's,which is really annoying.So I have to change adapter to solve this problem.

:01:THX Trustudio Pro not working after update bios on GT780DX

There's another problem:

Before Win 7 got slower , I've forced laptop shut down sevel times.

I have two OS in SDD,Win 7 & Win 8. When I copy & paste the same files from the same directory in another hard disk(not in SDD),I found it takes a real long time. While in win 8,it's much faster.

How to solve this problem? I don't want to reinstall Win 7 to make it fast again.

finally, after purchasing two piece of IC to replace on motherboard,i got my laptop repaired successfully,thanks for the help:banane58:

today i finally dissembled my laptop piece by piece but i found the model isn't matched it's 4914B not 4932, is there any difference? and i unfortunately found another IC of which model is 8731AE was burnt too.. now i have to find another one

No way to open? :S Just don't try to power it on it may only cause more damage. If you get the part and bring your stripped down mobo to a repair shop or someone with the expertise it wont cost you too much. Good luck!

i just bought some IC 4932 model made by alpha & omega on the Internet and i have a laptop battery charger filling the battery to open my laptop again

i really feel grateful from bottom of my heart to people like Suoah and svl7 who help others with patience and enthusiasm. that's what internet means, to convey a belief that there are always warm-hearted in the world and always hopes that we can make it.

thank u with tear in my eye,I may try contacting local repair shops to find out if there's the same kind. Now the battery is dead waiting for recharging. I have no way to open my laptop again...

I've got the same motherboard lying around, if you shine a flashlight from the side onto that chip there will be a brand and nr on it. When replacing components on it make sure not to heat for to long or the epoxy holding down the pads will loosen and you'll end up with lifted pads.

Maybe I can desolder it from mine and send it to you for free if you pay the postage.

Google for the laptop schematics, if it's on the net then that's the easiest way of identifying the part.

got a GT780DX and i miss connected the adapter then one of the chips in the laptop was burnt down? anyone who got a same GT780DX know what's the model of this chip?i need a replace of this chip

yes it's normal and the fan could be a lot more louder when you activate the Cooler Boost

using CooLaboratory Liquid is immediately helpful to lower the temputure, but please be VERY careful to smoothly put on the Liquid to CPU and GPU or it could burn your laptop
