First of all, i will copy some text from other threads to hide my bad english Hello everyone! I've been reading through these forums like a maniac and I'm really excited to get my own eGPU setup started. Laptop: 2013 15" rMBP(11,2) i7 + igpu + no dgpu + 8GB RAM + 256 SSD eGPU Equipment: Akitio Thunder2 Corsair vs550 Inno3D Geforce GTX 970 I will solder two yellow and black cables from the Corsair to a barrel connector to power the akitio Thunder2. This will work, right? My plan is to get things working in a comfortable state first of all and then worry about figuring out an appropriate case for everything afterwards. This is my first build so I imagine I'll have to do some experimentation to get things working fine. I've read that Bootcamp will install windows on 2013 MBP and later in UEFI mode. I don't think my windows 10 is in UEFI mode. Do I have to install windows in UEFI mode or will it work anyway on internal and external displays. I've read twice that EVGA graphic cards "power differently" and work better in eGPU builds. Is this true, because there are many builds with out EVGA? Looking forward to your feedback!
