1. Hi there, im having a problem with your vbios on my p370sm-a laptop. its flashed on a GTX 880m and my problem is i cant run my laptop without the power lead in. when i unplug and load up google chrome for example. the screen will freeze but sound will still work and mouse input. when i plug it back in, it will recover within 20 seconds and come up with nvidea kernal crash and recover.

Odd, I'll try to look into that. What was your original vbios version?

    Hi folks,

when I try to dump my BIOS i get the following error:

ERROR: Error: Display adapter's EEPROM ID process failed

Your vbios is probably part of the system bios. What kind of system are you using?

  2. i did that already

but im looking for something like this

so it will be automated but for that i need to know the temps of the heatsink so i could chose the right one

if u see my orginal post and answer that that would be great and why the temp of the speedfan program and realtemp program is soo difrent for cpu ? speedfan gives me around 65 while realtemp gives me +95

this switch when it gets to a specific temp will discunect so it will be all automated

Dude... that's exactly what I wrote in the post above. Please read again. You don't need to read out the temp with a program, you need to measure the temp at the spot where you mount the "switch" aka thermal cutout.

  3. With the EC. Without having documentation it's super tricky. You could politely ask @Mumak, he might be able to support fan control for this machine in HwInfo (it's Compal-based) as he had some success with AW systems, but he's usually super busy, so you might have to be patient to get a reply.

Best will be to head to the HwInfo main thread for this.

  4. That should be super easy, find a place where you can easily mount a thermal cutout (e.g. on the heatsink) measure temperature there (at load) and then get a thermal cutout that fits your temperature range.

Cut the wire, solder the cutout between the cut ends, mount the thermal cutout, done.

  5. So... can anyone who isn't on v3.05 test flashing the EC only for me?

Just download the attached archive, put all files on the root of a DOS bootable usb drive and run EC.bat.

Please check the bios version and EC version in the BIOS setup menu before doing so. If it flashes then check afterwards and let me know whether it worked and only the EC got updated.

    Thanks!

EDIT: File removed, thanks for testing!

  6. I don't know... usually I just just system restore when I have such issues, or get back to a working image. If you don't have those options - reinstall.

Also check your .NET installation. Since it seems to be linked to a file association issue you could also try ccleaner after uninstalling / before reinstalling 3dm11. Run it until it doesn't come up with conflicts anymore.

  7. I can do some test,if the software exist.

    Yes, please.

But first of all, can you tell me whether the EC gets flashed when downgrading the bios with an official update? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but I can't verify that.

tl;dr: how do I get from version 2.02 to 2.04 so that I can finally use the whitelist mod, where can I find it?

You can use the update to 2.07 and then flash the modified 2.07.
