i did that already

but im looking for something like this

so it will be automated but for that i need to know the temps of the heatsink so i could chose the right one
if u see my orginal post and answer that that would be great and why the temp of the speedfan program and realtemp program is soo difrent for cpu ? speedfan gives me around 65 while realtemp gives me +95
this switch when it gets to a specific temp will discunect so it will be all automated
Dude... that's exactly what I wrote in the post above. Please read again. You don't need to read out the temp with a program, you need to measure the temp at the spot where you mount the "switch" aka thermal cutout.

With the EC. Without having documentation it's super tricky. You could politely ask @Mumak, he might be able to support fan control for this machine in HwInfo (it's Compal-based) as he had some success with AW systems, but he's usually super busy, so you might have to be patient to get a reply.
Best will be to head to the HwInfo main thread for this.

That should be super easy, find a place where you can easily mount a thermal cutout (e.g. on the heatsink) measure temperature there (at load) and then get a thermal cutout that fits your temperature range.
Cut the wire, solder the cutout between the cut ends, mount the thermal cutout, done.

Cool, thanks for testing!
So, flashing the bios from 2.07 is no problem anyway, EC works as well now... and I think the ME will be possible as well... just makes the whole procedure of getting to a proper 3.05 a bit more complicated
EDIT: @PlaZing - you flashed with /ECP I assume?
-
Kinda hard without having the vbios...
-
Please try with this file instead of the other bin.
The stupid error message isn't really helping
EDIT: File removed, thanks for testing!
-
Oh, they must have updated it. Then try /ECBP or /ECP
-
flash failure
Hmm, can you edit the .bat file and change "/EC" to "/ECB" and try again?
Will this work if I downgrade to 2.07 from 3.05 to give you the results you're looking for?Yes.
-
So... can anyone who isn't on v3.05 test flashing the EC only for me?
Just download the attached archive, put all files on the root of a DOS bootable usb drive and run EC.bat.
Please check the bios version and EC version in the BIOS setup menu before doing so. If it flashes then check afterwards and let me know whether it worked and only the EC got updated.
Thanks!
EDIT: File removed, thanks for testing!

If an R3 user with 680m/780m is in for testing for 3d functionality, let me know. BIOS flashing required of course.

I am also willing to brick my laptop for the benefit of others!
LOL, that's the spirit! Hahaha, I like it. Though that should not be necessary

If you have throttling issues due to temperature then you should clean your system and repaste, not go for more voltage...
-
I don't know... usually I just just system restore when I have such issues, or get back to a working image. If you don't have those options - reinstall.
Also check your .NET installation. Since it seems to be linked to a file association issue you could also try ccleaner after uninstalling / before reinstalling 3dm11. Run it until it doesn't come up with conflicts anymore.

I can do some test,if the software exist.
Yes, please.
But first of all, can you tell me whether the EC gets flashed when downgrading the bios with an official update? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but I can't verify that.
tl;dr: how do I get from version 2.02 to 2.04 so that I can finally use the whitelist mod, where can I find it?
You can use the update to 2.07 and then flash the modified 2.07.
-
Thanks. Yeah, well, I'd say try the mod and see whether it helps.
-
Does the GT70 officially support this card? If not, chances are that the modified vbios you find on T|I will fix this.
Also, can I get a copy of your vbios?
-
No, your EC will most likely be the 2.07 one afterwards. Well the only way to find out is to try... Usually a downgrade also flashes the older EC version.
-
The problem is the only way to flash a modified bios is currently using the way I described in the first post, and that doesn't flash the EC, only the bios.
If you use the official updates (for downgrading or upgrading, doesn't matter) then it will flash the EC as well, but only then.
-
I can unlock it, but the only way to flash it will be by soldering the bios chip / directly programming it.
If you're interested I can sell you a chip with an unlocked bios on it.

EC can not flash by oneself. It do not store in the SPI IC(2M 4M).
I used the spi programmer,EC can not change.
The EC program must store in the IC(IT8586E).
Well, technically it can be flashed separately by software, I just don't have a system to test that.

@ all the 3.05 requests: I tried something a while ago, if I remember correctly the problem is that all flashing of unsigned code is blocked in 3.05... so the only way would be downgrade to stock 2.07 and then flashing a modified 2.07, or flashing a modified 3.05, but the problem then is flashing the newer EC... Anyone in for some testing?

Odd, I'll try to look into that. What was your original vbios version?
Your vbios is probably part of the system bios. What kind of system are you using?
