negative. still did 100% of nothing. I tried removing all the drivers. and reinstalling them in the correct orders and still nothing. and even when i uninstall my intel sandy bridge 3000 gay shit it still shows it in my bios. but it has yet to show my nvidia geforce gtx 460s, it used to show them when i first got the laptop but once they stopped being detected. all it says now in the spots on my bios is not detected. And everytime i fn f7 i restart and still nothing and still cant install the nvidia drivers. and when i go to devvice manager and try to install the drivers it still cant find the hardware. which is what the driver install from dell for the nvidia 460s says everytime.

tried and got nothing. i uninstalled the hd graphics family. i tried using driver sweeper but it wouldnt show the hd 3000 driver. so i went uninstall programs and uninstalled intel hd graphics driver. i had to reset my computer it was all safe mode on me. tried installing the nvidia drivers, still nothing. did the fn f7 and restart still nothing. reinstalled the vga video adapter and nothing, changed that out for the hd graphics family, then tried it all again and still nothing. now im running on the intel again, and still no nvidia help. it wont let me install the nividia drivers and every time i had to reset i went to bios and beside descrete it said not detected. So what now? i guess try and get dell again...

ill give it a shot. when u say reboot do u mean another factory reset? or just restart. i did the bios reset. and im just making sure. im not 100% new to computers im just making sure u mean restart and not reset. i hope it doesnt lock my computer out when i erase the only video driver thats working. my main question is. if it were stuck in integrated mode. wouldnt it still show the graphics cards in my bios? all it says is not detected. i mean i did a full factory reset, even deleted the C: when i rebooted from the disc. wiped the whole computer so it was like brand new. and then reinstalled everything from the alienware disc even though it left out a bunch of alienware stuff. but as far as drivers, everything installed except the nvidia drivers because everytime i tried it said cannot find compatible hardware, and says the same thing when i try to do a vbios update.

i wish that had worked. Did that already too. everything is up to date. The problem is either the graphics cards are fucked, they arent talking to the mother board, or which would be an obvious but no way around. There arent any drivers on the computer for the graphics cards. But even without the drivers itd still say they were there, whther it be on the computer or in the bios. But i cant install drivers because they cant find any hardware. i cant install vbios because it cant find the hardware. So there fore its a useless road to try and travel down. Looks as though im just going to have to wait till i get back and send it in.

I bought this laptop july 3rd and recieved it july 20th. the graphics cards in it stopped reading july 31st. i was told to do a factory reset by dell support and it didnt fix anything. i cant install drivers because no hardware found, i cant install vbios because no hardware found. in my bios it says my graphics cards are not detected. ive contacted dell for months but since i left for iraq august 1st and have been here since then, they really havent shown any support at all. Has anyone had this problem and fixed it? i would love to use my computer that i spent 3 grand on(dell built it for me) on actual computer games. But the intel hd family bs doesnt cut it at all. If anyone could help me, id really appreciate it. Thanks.
