    Hello mr J95

I am stuck at this step ::: NV Inspector -> P0/P1 matching -> Copy nvidiaInspector folder and included batch files to C: root directory (Single/980M_Single_GPU_NVI...zip or SLI/980M_SLI_NVI...zip)

Can you explain this in a more noob friendly way ? thanks!

  1. @J95 Hello mate

whats the latest version of the drivers you have modded to help with the throttling on the 980ms SLI with m18x r2? Running windows 8.1 and using ur modded drivers 353.00, works good but wanted to install a newer version.

    Thanks in advance

  2. @godfafa it's fixed...we still need both cards ASIC quality readings...in addition to 3D voltage *stock* vBIOS. THX http://forum.techinferno.com/nvidia/6307-%5Balienware%5D-aftermarket-upgrades-driver-support-modded-inf-40.html#post138438

I have Prema 1.1.1 vbios for 8gb 980m on both of my cards with m18x r2 980m SLI

When I match the clocks on p1 and p0 the memory clocks stay overclocked thru gaming or benchmarks but the core clock always goes back to 1126 Mghz (stock turbo Frequency) no matter what drivers i try any help?

  3. Hello

Quick question for you, I also have the m18xr2 with 980m sli. I am using prema vbios along with j95 modded drivers and using 353.06. My overclocks dont stick. they keep throttling back to stock clocks. running @ stock it fine no throttling but as soon as i tri to overclock as soon as the vidcards start to get taxed they throttle back to stock clocks.

  4. Hello Everyone

I am having this really strange issue.... so far i have only tried it on battlefield hardline and GTA 5. For some reason my videocards keep throttling down to 2d clocks then while playing but it only happens when I overclock. even if is a really minor overclock. keep I already flashed my cards with the slv7 vbios and I used to be able to run my cards @ +120 core and + 300 memory... can this be a driver issue??? is anyone else experiencing this ?

I have tried reflashing my cards again to the SLV7 Vbios but it makes no differences i also tried flashing the BIOS to A10 to A11 but it makes no difference either. i am on the lestest GTA 5 drivers from Nvidia.

please help me figure this out

    thanks

  5. Welcome to Tech Inferno... good to hear you like it. Try this if your on the stock bios otherwise you can go even higher on the unlocked but requires more settings. So I did some testing recently and 45/45/45/45 multis, 80long watt limit, 99 short watt limit at 56seconds time window... with the 0flex makes a very nice 4.5GHz overclock that for runs nice and cool. I would use stock baseclock for 24/7 but I can also approve about 100-101ish if want a little boost... maybe 101.4mhz. I would stay right there for most things. If on those settings you get a bsod saying 0000101 or 00000124 just raise the flex by 1... you shouldn't i needed more than stock amps to need more volts...

wow, and overclock of 4.5! wow i will try that right now, keep you posted. thanks!

  6. Wow, awesome guide for overclocking noobs like me :) Thanks so much, very very helpful ineed.

i register to techinferno just because of this tread. I have a feeling i will be here often lol :)

I personally will leave all the settings at max like above with the Flex of 0 with multipliers that keep within stable speeds at that voltage. While just working on improving cooling including but not limited to changing the stock thermal paste to a better performing one such as IC Diamond 24.

now you mention to leave flex of 0, what about the long term and short term, and the window term settings?

I just got a m18x with 2960xm processor, what safe settings do you recommend for my set up? i know every cpu is different so i will have to do my testing... but where do you suggest is a safe voltage and wattage settings for my 2960xm?

thanks in advance! you rock !
