3.Update Intel legacy RAID OpROM to 11.6.0.1702. (The corresponding driver version is 11.6.0.1030.)

4.Update Intel UEFI RAID driver to 11.6.0.1702. (The corresponding driver version is 11.6.0.1030.)

5.Fix Intel UEFI RAID driver 11.6.0.1702 can't display ODD name in Setup Menu when UEFI mode.

I'm on bios A05 (locked as it came with the laptop), I currently have no problems whatsoever with the laptop. Is there any safe way to update the bios

to A08 unlocked or should I just leave everything as it is...

i think you either have a m17x , or a m18x (not m18x r2) ? the A08 here is for m18x R02 !

I've got this error while trying to flash to A03 unclocked with latest OROM. I already have A03 unlocked running.

i took the QBR10EC.fd from M18x_R2_-_BIOS_A08_-_[unlocked]_-_[iRST 11.0.6.1702] and copied it over the QBR10EC.fd inside M18x_R2_-_BIOS_A08_-_[unlocked] and then click InsydeFlash.exe , and it worked,, there is something wrong with platform.ini in the rst 11.6 one

If I remember correctly VPro is a whole set of functions and features for supported processors. I don't think there's a single option to simply enable or disable it... but you can flash the BIOS and find out. I'm pretty sure some of the features are supported with the stock BIOS, but probably not all of them. What exactly are you looking for? I highly doubt that you need all the features included in VPro...

And regarding the file hosting... thank you, but at the moment we're fine with our solution, we're trying to stay independent.

i have an m18x R2 with ati 7970m crossfire.

what you need to have 3 display:

2 monitor (oh course)

1 ACTIVE Mini Display Port to (HDMI or DVI) (passive WON'T work for 2 external display) i used this one (Newegg.ca - XFX Active Mini DisplayPort to SL-DVI Adapter Model MA-AP01-ND1K) but its out of stock.

1 HDMI cable to hdmi or to DVI.

you cannot use the VGA with hdmi and mini display port. its either all digital out or just the analog vga out.
