Thanks.... I think I already checked the BIOS but will check again... The Laptop is out of warranty so don't know if a repair is cost worthy. I did buy a USB-to-esata adapter with port multiplier and it works OK.

Hello All: I need some help with the expresscard/34 slot. I have a 2-port esata card (port multiplier) but it is not recognized. All the drivers are installed and there are no "unknown devices". The drivers for the iogear esata pm are the inf type, not the exe type. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (PS - the onboard esata/USB2.0 port is not port multiplier type) Thanks!
