  1. Hello, i'm using Prema vBios trying to overclock 980m , at 1400Mhz core 1168mV, memory clocks are stock 5010Mhz temperature is 84-85c ,  after a while of Heaven benchmark running gpu stops responding, computer starts beeping fans 100% and shuts off. What could be a problem since temperature is not 91c yet?

Forgot to mention that PSU is Dell 330w, green wire grounded.

normally the 180w soulh be sufficient, have u treid benching with external screen so the laptop screen is out, and uses no energy?

i got a 3920xm and 980m but 220w psu and it s all fine, your cpu pulls way less energy thou

u could also trie benching 3dmark11 becuase its not cpu AND gpu heavy, its one and then an other

Thank you Chap :) I will try to use external monitor.

  3. How did you get +300 on the core? That's insane. I can only keep 1006mhz stable on the same card.

I don't know :) It's stock clevo p150sm, with 4700mq both repasted with Arctic MX-2. It's actually working fine now with lower memory 5250 mhz and on watch dogs loged max temp is 72c with stock fan setting

  4. You can back down on the core or increase voltage until the crashes go away, although the latter will increase heat

Thank you, heat is ok now as it's winter. but I see strange colorful flashing like stars on upper left side of screen sometimes in valley benchmark and watch dogs. Could it be memory too high or core?
