Hey all,
I had a AMD 7970m that gave me artiffects and din't run on my M15x so i decided there was no way of getting it to work again..........after 3 months i finally thought about trying to recover it and so i did.
It took me like one hour at 250 dgrees (Celsius) in my oven put it in my second M15x and .....tada....it worked again,
Maybe it can help some of you so that why i posted this........good luck and if there are questions just ask....
Gr Mike

Just the cover of the GPU, CPU and disk...Iam working on a write up so please be patient......smile.
So you still modded the laptop case to make use of the cooling? -
In a sense i just put some waterblocks on top of the heatpipes en connect them with quickrelease connectors on a laptop cooler frame. so i can disconnect the watercooling without leaking and the waterblocks stay filled with water, but when there is no pump cooling the water the stockfans (witch are still fully operational) do there work..........does that make sense???

there you go...........there is also a video link there

Do you mind showing us a pic of your watercooling kit for your aw 15 to us? thanks -
To be honest its a hybride cooling so the water is connected with quickreleasconnecters and so it completely moveable. The stock fans take over when ever i am moving it with me. So its mobile asmuch as it was before.

Cooling is not a problem really... watercooling on Cpu and on Gpu, temp not above 50 degrees on heavy overclock right now.
give it ore juice, as long as the temperature is ok u can go up to 80mv or even 100mv, just depends on coolingmake sure u also raise the power target
have fun overclocking!

i got i little more with overvolting it too 37,5 mV 265 core and 400 on mem, max 185 Watt and a score of 10437 (12331 graphics only)
do you have tried overvolting it? as the 970m has a very low tdp there is a lot of headroom -
-
so much for CPU wil be the bottleneck..............

Owww right i see dint know you could only test gpu benefits of advance version i gues than. Very nice score i won't match that one.

Guess you went of the charts, 3dmark cant keep up with you.......hahaha.........nice pic
