LOL, Flash forward a year or two when their fat asses are now in Jazzy's because they crushed that little thing. It's now called a honda tampon. Theres a youtube video somewhere of a man falling off one of these backwards in a big white warehouse looking room and it rolled backwards and ball tagged him, flipping hilarious.
*edit - just scoured the web looking for that video. I'm sure Honda made that "go away" lol.

Wait a minute, how did you get scores like that out of the HDD on the right?? What drive is that? I'd be super happy with those speeds, let alone the mack daddy speeds on the SSD. Congrats.

UUUHM, I would freak the hell out. Unless you have a Dell purchase (credit) account, after the payment confirmation number of a purchase is received from the card company, all but the last 4 digits of a credit card are purged. There should be no way they can bill something to your card without asking you for the number again. My company has to give them the CC number over the phone or online for every purchase. We buy so much we asked why they couldn't put our card number on file and was told that was not possible. We're going to PO with them now, but thats besides the point.
I really think you're gonna be OK Brian, but it will be a pain when that poor soul calls in for support...

It's a nice looking laptop but the cooling system is seriously flawed. If you put it on your lap it cant breathe. The exhaust is pretty sweet looking though. I think the HDD and memory locations are going to make the palm rest pretty hot. Have to see what the real users find. A coworker has a 16" Asus ROG and loves it, so based off that I would entertain the idea of buying one of these.

These are good looking and installed fine, however my system slowed some after installing and I had to install the Alienware Theme from dell and restore windows look to Windows default. The Alienware theme is listed below from Dell's site.

I want to get another monitor, but not sure if I really need it for gaming. I have a 25" Hannspree that has been a great monitor.
2 big monitors make any desk look good tho.

16gb is a godsend for those that run multiple VMs on the same machine.
It happens a lot that I need to simulate q real working environment running a cluster of db servers plus a cluster of application servers. That could mean 4-5 VMs running and if I allocate 2gb of memory to each vm that's 10gigs right there.
But I agree that for non development purposes there is a little to do with more that 8 gigs.
Everyone thought I was just being ridiculous when I got 8 gigs. But when they saw I ran a SQL server/ support console VM with XP/ and 2 Dynamics client VM's, they were impressed.
Downside is I have to do all the work, lol.

You go to a LAN party and a couple people notice your Orion backpack
, and say "Nice bag, do you really have an alienware?" So you put your bag down, unzip it and pull out this black sleeve 
.
Then proceed to pull this big, black, sweet looking piece of machinery out, the M17X, or as you refer to as "my lappy"
.
Then you get out the power supply and you hear an "holy cow, thats huge" under someones breath. Proceed to pull out the AW mouse pad and Tactx Mouse
and set them on the bench.
Plug everything in and turn it on and hear a couple of "What the hell is that""s over my shoulder. I reply "thats just my lappy"
as I spin my hat around 
and start poundin noobs. 
I try to act like it's not a big deal but I love the attention this thing gets. They come to check out the looks, but I get em with the performance. "Whathu?" Yes buddy, I'm destroying your mini tower with my laptop, lol.
