I think that answers the question. The prompt lists what is used in the test. It was just the Titan Z. Here's another that includes the 750M. This seems like exactly what the scores would be if only 1 core was being used. Thanks for this. I had been scouring for info but the benchmark thing seemed like it would not bring me the answers I was looking for. Glad I did it!

another member just posted in the Octane forums a screenshot of both Titan Z cards loaded with drivers so I know it's possible. I'll give an update.

Have you test the AKiTiO with a Titan Z?

Im trying and is crashing my osx when I use Octane Render.

It recognize the card but it add an Nvidia GPU chipset.

The setup works perfect with my Titan Black but not with the Z.

Setup:

MacBook Pro Mid 2012 (10.9.4)

I am particularly interested in your setup as the reason I want to use the eGPU is for C4D and video editing like Davinci Resolve.

@nesone: Your graph is exactly the way I did it. The powered riser is connected by a 4-Pin Molex plug by the desktop PSU.

I'm new to this. I just want to know if my diagram is OK and if someone can tell me how to connect the PCI riser to the PSU. I just want to know how to connect everything before I buy all the components. This is going to be my little 3D render computer for C4D and Octane Render.

I already own the PSU and the computer.

I need:

1- AKiTiO Thunderbolt 2

2- ASUS GTX 980

3- Dual 6-Pin PCI Express to 8-Pin PCI Express

4- PCI-e Riser powered

5- Thunderbolt cable
