Hi guys,

finally i found the ultrabay gpu for my y510p. But im wonderig if the second card will work with windows 10. i remember that lenovo released a bios upgrade for win 8.1 to make that ultrabay working properly. Now, of course, i cannot use that kind of upgrade because i havent win 8.1 but win 10. So will it work in my case?

I have one single issue, I have turn off the laptop when the screen is in inactivity, but is a shame that Lenovo doesn't support y510p for win 10, is not so old...

so, according to lenovo, y510p is not fully compatible with windows 10. i cant believe it.....

Hi, sorry if I respond just now but I'm using tapatalk and I didn't get notification.

hi everybody.

i tried to do the complete test with lenovo solution center for check the health of my gpu (gt755m)

but when the program do the stress test i get a warning ( the result code is WVC00R000-DK7D1H)

Is this a big problem?, there is another possible way to test my gpu?

Hi,

I have issues with Intel driver after win 10 upgrade.

I cannot install the last driver I think, because the last version start with 15.xxxx but the installation process keep to maintain the 10.xxxx

I don't know why but now the 10.xxx version doesn't work well. How can I install the last driver? Thanks

hi,
i dont know why but my clock speed default of geforce 755m is 1098 mhz.
should not be 980 mhz?
also on msi afterburner now i can overclock core speed up to 549mhz, before only up to 135 mhz
why this and how i came back to normal speed?
recently i have modded the bios but i have set the optimal setting with f9.

hi i have this problem: i succesfully downgrade the bios to 2.07 but i cant boot on usb dos to flash the bios, on the boot option i dont have the usb option (i follow the step with hp software and also i have used rufus but the problem is the same)

Could be a fake one, try to boot to linux, is it the same? That's nonsense that you won't get 1920x1080 option on a 1080p display panel...

i try with usb linux live and i cant see nothing, when i put "try linux without installig" i have only lines on the screen and its impossible to see the desktop

No i cant, i put the new screen and the max resolution available is 1366x768

this may be a problem? i dont completely understand how can i do, but the fact that i dont set the full hd res with the new screen what it means?? thanks

Hello!
It looks like China display! Probably a copy of AU Optronics (according to model designation). I have to flash in 90% cases new China displays for Lenovo (brightness problem).
But I replace normal as broken displays and can first save the old firmware and then copy it to the new display chip.
It may be that you need right now for this display original Lenovo firmware from the same Lenovo screen.
I use the selfmade 40pin adapter with TL866 programmer.

But the version with the cable I would not exclude.
What is with full HD resolution? Can you change it to FullHD?

No i cant, i put the new screen and the max resolution available is 1366x768

ok sorry, this is what i have, but the fact that something is visible on the new screen maybe means that is not a mobo problem, and perhaps a cable issue or a screen issue?? thanks a lot for the help

So...not so good! But I can see a picture on the screen. Can you change the resolution to FullHD?
It is not necessarily the cable. If it is "NoName" China display, then it may be a wrong firmware on the EEPROM of Diplays be (series 24Cxx). This is very often at Lenovo, such as brightness is not working properly or are there problems with the colors. What is the manufacturer?

hi i dont know, i buy from laptopscreen.com, the screen is marked as "lenovo y510p series display", on laptopscreen.com they told me that is a cable issue, and probably my cable is mis-labeled, i asked on lenovo official forum and they suggest me to buy another cable and go with it. So i purchase a cable, maybe mine is a single channell, but i'm not sure about this, the cable that i found i very cheaper so i will try...

Upgrading a laptop monitor is usually difficult. In the past I've done older dell monitor replacements. It usually requires a full disassemble of the laptop, if not, a lot of screws.

yes but if is a cable issue, probably i'll send my lappy to a specialist. I'm interested to know if is realy a cable issue, because the model that i have is the same so seems a bit weird to buy the seems cable

on laptopscreen.com they think that is a cable issue, they wrote me:

"If this is the original cable in the laptop, it may be mis-labeled. As your original 1366x768 screen should not work properly with a dual channel HD+/FHD cable, and the new screen still shows display issue which is typical of incorrect cable being used.

seems reasonable?

Ok nice!
You do not need to buy the cable. I think that it will works with FullHD screen also. But I can not guarantee it.. I would bay and replacement it!

But you need only open!

I think your mainboard is Compal NM-A032 VIQY1 Rev 1.0 and you need DC02001KT00 (HD + / FullHD) cable.
Remove the display and look on the original cable, if the part number is the same.
The cable is designed for HD+ and Full HD displays.
If calbe is the same, then only buy display and test it!
Unfortunately I have no scheme for this model.

ok thank you, i'm not an expert and i'm a bit afraid to open the laptop ( expecially now: i'm working on it) so i post the result of cpu-z, maybe it can help; of course that i will open it when i will get some free time.
