"Without Thunderbolt certification for eGPU capability, the system behavior can be unpredictable." This sounds more like a requirement on the manufacturer making the thunderbolt eGPU case. So, to expand the statement, "A eGPU enclosure without thunderbolt certification for eGPU capability, (aka every TB2 eGPU) the system behavior can be unpredictable" There's a good chance that certified eGPUs might be pricy, and cheaper TB3-PCI solutions may be available but not certified for graphics. This is all just a load of speculation because I really want all TB3 computers to be eGPU capable.
