Hello, I am wondering if the 1.30 version has improved the function of anti-whitelist. I have been try to use version 1.10b to overcome the whitelist. I tried to save all the port (!save menu) with wifi card attached, and reboot the laptop with egpu connected. However, every time I was trying to restore all ports, the laptop seems to freeze. I was sure that it detected my egpu, because the egpu fan slows down. I was even able to install the egpu driver in win 8 after I put my laptop to sleep and swap to egpu. It was just when I restored all the port. My laptop froze at the prompt. I would love to get 1.30 version if there is improvement for anti-whitelist. Any suggestions?? Thank you in advance!!

So, I just have all my parts shipped over, and I hook up everything to my laptop, and it didn't work at all. My laptop isn't detecting the eGPU. I know my system has TOLUD issue (TOLUD = 3.5G), but let's not worry about that for now. I'm having a lenovo E430. HM77 platform. I have googled my question, and it turns out the issue could come from whitelisted wifi card, but I wasn't really getting it. I have also tried to hot-plugged my eGPU under setup 1.x, and it still doesn't detect!. I believe it has to deal with my bios. Any thoughts will be very pleased!!

[GUIDE] DSDT override to fix error 12
zhu777hao replied to Tech Inferno Fan's topic in DIY e-GPU Projects
I have been trying to do DSDT override to my E430 laptop. I wasn't sure what u did with the code. Did you use the asl generated DSDT.ASL file, and directly add the red color code to that file? or u added the red code to the .dsl file generated by "iasl dsdt.dat" command? also where did you get the red color code from?? Thanks!!- 178 replies

I have seen this post already, I was confused with the definition of 4+GB ram. is it the actual ram for the laptop or the ram inside the GPU? Also, let say I really wanna keep my budget, and just stay with the two laptops I have. what way would you suggest me to do? I will definitely accept any egpu upgrade for either one of the laptops.

Thanks for your quick reply! That sounds a bit terrible... guess my acer laptop isn't really ready for a egpu. However, I still have another notebook Lenovo e430. i5-2450m. intel HM77 chipset. with HD 3000. will i be able to install any 400 series on this laptop? I'm still not very familiar with the terminology that u used. but this laptop is a completely different platform. New Bitmap Image.bmp

Hi guys, after reading this article, i was inspired to build up an egpu for my acer 4736g. After doing the research about TULOD (I should have 3Gb), PCI-E versions, etc. I've decided to combine a GTX 400 series (mostly 1Gb ram) with my laptop. I don't know if it is doable. but, here are some specs for my laptop: T9600 Core 2 dual, Intel PM45 + ICH9M chipset, and it runs PCI-E ver 1 (I know it's an antique, that why i wanna see if i can do sth with it). Anyone knows if it's doable, at least theoretically? Here is a screen shot of my PCI-E memory location, just in case I got the TULOD size wrong... . Any comments or suggestions will be very appreciated!
