  1. You are way lower than I'd expect given you are running Windows 7. Consider comparison to my significantly faster results with what should be a slower GTX770 card:

    Score=28209 (SM2.0=10815 SM3.0=13952 CPU=7113) <- [email protected] + GTX770@4Gbps+c (Tech Inferno Fan)

    Score=22837 (SM2.0=8359 SM3.0=11694 CPU=6074) <- [email protected] + GTX970@4Gbps+c (UncleJam)

    Please ensure you have the latest Futuremark SystemInfo and newest 3dmark06 V1.21 installed. Then re-do tests again. You should be seeing ~27k if it was all working as expected.

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3820QM Processor,Hewlett-Packard 17DF

    I tested again and got this result. as you expected It's almost 27k . Thanks.

  2. Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Pls change from the balanced to the high-performance power plan and then re-run 3dmark06. Result should be significantly better than your previous 22.5k. I anticipate ~27k.

    I changed the setting, but, it's not quite different. Maybe some other issue could be the problem.

  3. Your 3dmark06 score is showing a slow CPU score netting you an overall 22.5k score. Please set your Power profile to maximum performance and re-run. I'd anticipate you getting over 27,000 when set correctly.

    How can I set my power profile properly? Do you mean that changing the balanced power option to the high-performance option?(I don't know the exact expression of this, anyway I mean that the battery and plug mark beside the system clock) Or, should I use throttle stop?

  4. @UncleJam, thank you for submitting your implementaiton details. Would you mind including the 3dmark11 and 3dmark06 benchmark result runs using an external LCD to the post at: http://forum.techinferno.com/diy-e-gpu-projects/2109-diy-egpu-experiences-%5Bversion-2-0%5D-404.html#post110325 ? Doing so means can add you to the appropriate position into http://forum.techinferno.com/diy-e-gpu-projects/6578-implementations-hub-tb-ec-mpcie.html .

    Needless to say, 2570P eGPUs owners would be interested to see the results of your i7-quad and fresh GTX970 to compare against their rigs.

    Okay. I'll install it and post it later. It's very honor to be a "reference" with my rigs.

    + I did it now I'll add to the original post

    Experience

    Hi guys, I live in Seoul, South Korea. So please understand that my primary language is not English.

    Recently I bought Gigabyte GTX 970 Windforce UDV OC. I have challenge to solve error 12 using DSDT override and PCI compaction. Finally I could solve the problem with Nando's egpu setup 1.30. Thanks again, Nando.

    I played TombRaider 2013 about 30 minutes (yeah, I like Lara.) Using internal LCD, I set the graphic option as "Ultra" and changed anti-aliasing option as 4Xs saa. So, its the ultimate option to this game. I check frame rate my self with fraps 3.59, I've seen the moment of frame, lowest as 30FPS and highest as 78FPS. Usually, It was around 40~50 FPS. Of course, it's Opt 1.2 setting.

    Using external LCD to the internal monitor opt. 1.2 setting, it's quite progressed. (You can see it in my signature)

    And I have fun time playing with Tombraider again :-)

    Thank you :)

  7. Hi,

    I followed every single step of this article, but my laptop,HP 2570p, failed to overcome error 12 as you con see below.

    post-28294-14494998586376_thumb.png

    I didn't get the errors while doing "5. Create a dsdt.aml file with the 'iasl -oa dsdt.dsl' compiler directive. " this part.

    Any idea for solving this problem? Now, my system uses i7-3820QM, 8gb + 4gb ram, gigabyte GTX 970 windforce UDV OC, pe4l 2.1b, x2 pcie, 0 delay.

    Thanks,

    JJ Lee
