Thanks for taking the time to get back to me. I may have to consider buying a new laptop with a motherboard that supports SSD encryption, depending on how much I intend to use my laptop for storing sensitive data. Does anyone know of any laptops that support it out of the box? I'm still fine with modding if there are no good options. Encryption software is not suitable since I need all the performance of the computer.

I'm interested in trying out the Prema Mod on my Clevo P170EM because recently I've been looking at ways to encrypt my SSD, but I found out that the Intel 520's hardware encryption cannot be activated through the bios that came with my laptop. Can Intel 520 hardware encryption be easily activated once I flash the Prema Mod bios onto my Clevo P170EM?
