I hate to mention AMD gpu (bleh under experience) but a 7970m is so cheap and for the performance could be a viable alternative till you get your Nvidia 980m GPU again.

they can overclock a decent amount and cost next to nothing compared to the alternatives in how much performance per $ you get. I certainly would consider one as a temporary card if it is compatible with your system.

had lots of AMD and Nvidia gpu and if I had to would use AMD temporarily just never my main choice

I had a 7970M.. Its hardly cheap as I look at it on eBay.. If you do have a spare, would be willing to get it lol..

awww I feel bad bro I hope you get a replacement sooner than expected and for cheap. Sucks when hardware fails and yeah it is rough on IGP. Intel gpu has been way behind since the dawn of Intel lol true. Ivy bridge and haswell igp gives an attempt of atleast providing a playable game but with less than desired reolution and detail...

Me too..this has been a nightmare 2 days.. And August is the last proper free month before I start full time works.. This sucks so bad...

lol my brother played that years ago, IGP should be able to do a bit more than that if you have a mobile i7 cpu in the system? FPS on IGP does better on lower resolution with medium settings in a lot of games, seeing what effects drop fps by a lot can help tune it for temporary use till you have a proper Dedicated gpu again

I guess I have no choice lol.. I hate gaming on Igp... Started of gaming on one with a Pentium 4 desktop and never liked them since then but beggars can't be choosers

I personally would not bother with hidevolution and get a 980m from woodz cos I have no patience for crappy customer service and woodz is great to deal with.

I don't start work still September so I don't have that kind of money to throw around. I'll return it to Hide and wait.. Hate doing it but no choice.. If anyone has a cheap 3.0B GPU they can send/sell to me let me know.. I don't mind paying for shipping..

Guys I have done everything... Something is weird or the card is kaput.. Have reset it quite a few times etc however God knows what the issue.. Trying to install drivers one last time then I will RMA once hide gets off their arses and sends me the info.

Nothing serious... just keep reasiting the card, 2 screws only no need to remove the heat sink.

Did a full removal and reset.. Didn't work... Trying your 2 screws trick..

Check the motherboard black insulating plastic. Try cleaning the gold connectors w/ a soft dry cloth and then reseat the card a few times.

J95, hmm when you say check how to do so? I did mess with it a bit as it was covering the connectors but I have readjusted it so it was back to normal. As for the connector, can I clean with a microfilter cloth? Should be fine.. I will try reseating the card..

God knows.. I had to remove it to reset since I switched to dedicated and I had Windows legacy installed so had beeps.. I'll send it back to Hide and see what they say...

No need to re-install windows. DDU uninstall both drivers and reboot. Install first Intel HD, reboot and then install Nv.

cmd (Admin)

sfc/ scannow

-> reboot.

Nahh tried all that.. Didn't do sfc but anyways already half done with reinstall as I have a SSD... I am going to run dedicated mode... Hopefully should fix the issues...

Nope, set stocks 1038/2505 P-states matching. NVCPL force dedicated graphics...all games.

J95 stay online.. Just reinstalling drivers and trying this... Otherwise, I think it's a bug with Optimus and I'll just use dedicated... BTW, you are using dedicated with Windows 10 right? I have a UEFI install so if I switch using FN+F7 to dedicated shouldn't have the gpu beeping crap right lol?
