  1. For anyone that don't know. I purchased Oculus Rift CV1 in hopes it works with m17 R4 with 980m 8 GB. Well, it works with no problems whatsoever. Went through Oculus setup and have played about an hour of Lucky's tale with no stuttering and beautiful VR. Also used Virtual Desktop to play Doom 2016 and it also works as it's supposed too. Was worried since HDMI is connected to motherboard and not gfx card but it still works and runs no problem. Downloading edge of nowhere now to test. Extremely happy with my 980m. Won't need to upgrade for a while. I am running dedicated with no Intel drivers installed. Update 8-29-16 Installed Edge of Nowhere and another title runs flawlessly on Oculus Rift CV1.
  2. Go into DDU driver uninstaller and click set windows update back to automatic/default. It'll be that rectangle on the right stating what it does. Then it'll start downloading update.
  3. 350.12 is in my opinion the best drivers even though a few post above seems otherwise. The 350.12 with V2 Prema mod is the only ones that dont drop severe frames during bench marking. I suggest if you are going to upgrade drivers use the 350.12 and flash V2 of Premas mod which works great on my M17xR4. The 368.25 keeps dropping frames during benchmarking which I attest to throttling even though I also flashed Premas V2 mod. I guess it depends on your rig. I am running on 980m so the card probably likes certain drivers best. I would start with my suggestion and the suggestion above with the 368.25 also to find the best which is probably the best start you're going to get. Oh and Doom on PC is terribly optimized with alot of crashed being reported including me with the steam version. Runs superd at Ultra then for no reasons just goes to desktop and crashes at random with no explanation. Reports are being made so hopefully they update it and we dont end up with another Batman Arkham conundrum. Hope this helps.
  4. I ended up just refreshing PC which cleared up a few other issues so it was much needed. The problem I was having was I couldn't install nvidia drivers in safe mode due to not being able to disable driver protection prior to. Its cleared up.
  5. I removed my previous invidia drivers in safe mode using ddu. I was running peg with no Intel driver installed at all. After reboot windows comes to black screen and the restore point didn't save with previous working drivers. I am trying to see what's possible as I somehow need to install the drivers in safe mode but without signature verification and I'm not sure if that's possible. I'm guessing maybe installing Inteldriver in safe mode may let me boot to start over again though I wanted to avoid that. Windows is also set to never update video drivers in Windows 10 as per DDU. Any ideas other than what I stated above?
  6. I really need to be promoted to download the Prema's V2. I been requested it and still nothing after months. I made the post requirements are is a donation required now to be able to download? Wow scratch this post. After posting I looked and saw I was promoted. Tried downloading prior and said I wasn't.
  7. Did you try updating to the lates version of nvinspector because also had that issue before updating to latest? Also if you use steam can you try the vr performance test to see if it actually works as it just disappears for me.
  8. I've modded a few different versions of the drivers and was wondering if there was something special to edit to make the drivers PEG instead of Optimus as the drivers always work that I modify. All I change is the subset info though and it installs and works correctly. I even delete the intel graphics and make the 980m dedicated only which sticks after a reboot.
  9. Can anyone tell me if there is an issue performing the steam vr performance test on the 352.83 PEG Dedicated drivers? I also have Prema V1.1 flashed. Everytime I try and run the program in Steam it starts loading then disappears and shows as if it had ran in Steam.
  10. Woodstocks driver 353.17 is working fine for me on the official Windows 10 update. Heaven scored 1500 using optimus. Frames seemed to be locked at a max of 60fps during the benchmark though. I'll run 3DMark and then switch to dedicated to see the difference in performance. I want to try the newest driver 353.62 but I cannot yet download the windows 10 proper inf file for dedicated. I have the driver just need someone to post a mirror of the proper windows 10 .inf so I can get it installed. The inf from 353.17 is nvgb and the one from 353.62 is nv_disp so don't know and dont want to try and see if its interchangeable. Can someone again post a mirror for me?
  11. I have been trying to update to new driver after modding .inf from my previous drivers I was using on windows 8. I am on newest official 10 update and after disabling driver sig it starts to install as usual but the prompt to install anyway does not appear and it fails. I am also running in legacy mode. Is there a differnt .inf file for windows 10 and maybe a mirror to dropbox or something to download it since I have not had my five posts as of yet?
