  1. lol, i was in the same predicament@forgot to backup the stock vbios when i flashed the prema version [emoji14] do u remember the vbios revision? if not, i could just send u the stock vbios i had before on the P751ZM :)

for flashing ull need to use the maxwell nvflash version, which currently only works in windows

  2. ...changes that could potentially enable you to have the freedom of overclocking again. but sure, go ahead with flashing prema's vbios, install the latest nvidia drivers and then TRY to change ANYthing [emoji14] good luck with that!

  3. make sure to sign this petition for re-enabling overclocking on mobile Nvidia GPUs! otherwise threads like these will become obsolete...

thx to brother iata for opening up the petition!

it would also be great if you could follow up on this link and take part in MySn´s survey concerning GPU overclocking in notebooks:

This could really make a difference if vendors like MySn lean on Clevo to in turn put pressure on Nvidia for unlocking overclockability again!

  5. Guys, please sign this petition right here to re-enable overclocking on mobile Nvidia GPUs, otherwise this crap with the 347.xx drivers will continue!

  6. hey folks, just found this post by prema, especially after the info i just gave concerning no overclocks on the 347.xx drivers this should be important to know:

    - To make the GTX7/8/9 work properly on P-EM series we need to use a BIOS and vBIOS Mod combination.

    - Without Mod GTX7/8, will not work at all.

    - Without Mod GTX9 will only run with 347-series driver and only on stock clocks.

    - By using an OC capable driver it loses 20% speed even on stock clocks, essentially crippling a GTX980M to a GTX970M.

    - The Mod will not require any driver .inf mods and achieve full speed without throttle even under heavy overclocks as well as recognize the cards power-states properly (incl battery mode).

Once the Mods are ready I'll re-open this topic!

Until then please stop asking the same question over and over again! RJgAJZdlsYzbjOrAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC

GTX980M: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3920XM Processor Extreme Edition,Clevo P170EM powered by PremaMod.com

sooo in the end, its best to use the 347.xx drivers! otherwise u will have gimped performance on your 980M cards :)

    cheers
