  1. Laptop crashed due to overheating while fan was only at 30-40%. And I think it crashes when the internal temperature is around 100°C. The 70°C is according to speedfan ^^
  2. Both EC updates (first the xmg's one, then yours) didn't change the fact than the main fan doesn't activate itself until the laptop is extremely hot (around 70°C) and even then it only works at 30-50% its max strengh. Hence why I asked if there was a way to manually configure the fans from the bios ^^.
  3. But... but there's no changelog for the W370ET Model. Anyway, you're telling me that fn+1 wouldn't have worked before modding the bios ? But I still can't lower the temperature at which the fan activates itself from the modded Bios, right ? And while I'm at asking so many noobish questions, do you have any idea why my fans stopped working ? Since my pc overheated 2 days ago, it seems like my fan only naturally activates itself when my PC is about to crash (70°C+ according to speedfan). I may have the order of events mixed up though.
  4. So I flashed the modded BIOS, everything seems to work so far. I have to say, your modded BIOS looks great. But I still have my original problem : I can't find any option for fan control. As I write this, I found a workaround : Wording my google search slightly differently for then seventh time made me learn about the fn + 1 command (force fan at full speed). It's not as good as tuning it from the BIOS, but it will do if there's no way to configure the fan from the BIOS. Which leads me to my next question : Is there a way to configure the fan from the BIOS ?
  5. Hi. Is the W370ET the right bios to use for a XMG A722 ? I need it in order to force my fans to activate so that my laptop doesn't fry. Thanks.
  6. Hey guys. Today my xmg a722 overheated and now it seems like that the fan refuses to activate, even though it is working perfectly. How do I know it is working perfectly ? I tried to update the bios (thought that maybe it would unlock fan control from the bios), and during the update the fan was working at full speed with no problems, but it did not fix my problem. But then I heard that the bioses here might help me. But because I have a xmg and not a clevo computer, I'm not sure which bios I have to use, or even if I can use them for my computer. I think I should try the W370ET but I'm unsure. Help me, please ?
