Hello ! I was bored to edit kext files at each patch, so I made a small php script. https://github.com/sebastienva/thunderbolt-gpu If you plan to use it, I will advice you to check the result (at least the first time). The script makes a backup of your kext files in the current folder.

Did anyone get a stable setup with a 770/780 and an AKiTiO ?

It didn't work with mine (late 2013 750m), maybe there is something else.

No, I didn't get any crash since I upgraded the card. I haven't try to run unigine, playing any game couple hours was far enough to get a crash with a 770. My problem was stability on time, not on load.

My crashes were random, no matter of the load. I just play games.

I'm using the sonnet sel, The buzzing noise from the sonnet was barely audible with my old gtx 770, now it's really disturbing.

I changed my 770 for a 970. No crash yesterday but it sill can happen anytime. The performance increase is awesome : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4850HQ,Apple Inc. Mac-2BD1B31983FE1663 but i got a new problem : a terrible buzzing noise ... The strange thing is that the noise seems to become from both graphic card and sonnet adapter.

I can also run furmark without problem but i got crash while playing a game which use something like 50% of power.

Keep in mind that if you play a cpu intensive game, the macbook will become very loud. Disable turboboost is mandatory to keep it silent.

I've exactly the same problem. Same config except the graphic card (MSI GTX 770) and psu (corsair rm 550).

But what about the performance loss ? Is it acceptable ? On my 13" macbook it's not.
