I was able to downgrade to v2.07 Stock & then apply the v2.07 whitelist BIOS.

I had an Intel 6235 2+2 WLAN card and my laptop is a ton faster.

Just an idea, have you considered trying a screen protector with an anti-glare coating/finish?

Quick search shows a couple on Amazon and other places.

Results are mixed, but this would be a lesser of two evils option.

Removing Laptop displays can be tricky and do have a medium level of risk - esp for flexes and cables, adhesives, etc.

Odds are I'll have the same problems too.
