Not the Internal GPU that's attached to your motherboard.

I have been looking through the thread but there is a lot of confusing information. Wondering if this adapter will work for my y510p without any bios modding. I am on bios 3.5

It probably wont work, just mod the bios like the rest of us

The fan on the 2nd graphics card runs all the time.

I'm running a Samsung 840 500gb SSD on my Y510 and it boots in under 8 seconds. I never even considered running the 1tb drive. It was removed and cloned the moment I received it.

Same here, i use a Samsung 830 Pro 512GB. On my Y510P.

It boots under 6 seconds!
