  1. Hi svl7! Months ago I flashed my 970m with bios from first post. Now I'm trying to flash the buios from this thread:

    http://forum.techinferno.com/clevo/3119-%5Bbios-vbios-mods%5D-prema-mod-stock.html#post54056

Now, when I trying to flash OC1.1 version, with *.bat file or directly in CMD, the flasher gives me "ERROR board ID mismatch". I've tryed all nvflash versions from techpowerup.com that support my card, al versions gives the same error... Options like " -4 -5 -f -u -p" gives help info about using nvlash! And using "o" option gives another ERROR: Firmware image filename must have a valid extension, and mine is "rom", downloaded from third post!

Any idea on how to proceed?

    Thank you!

  3. Hello Clevo experts,

    I have an Clevo P370SM-A 980m SLI , 32GB RAM, 4910MQ .

Today i bought an External monitor. Acer XB280HK .

    Acer XB280HK and G-SYNC Conclusion - Acer XB280HK 4K G-SYNC Monitor Review

I connected the Clevo to the new monitor using a mini DP to DP cable but it doesnt work.

    http://www.amazon.co.jp/ミヨシMCO-miniDisplayPort-DisplayPort変換ケ-ブル-ホワイト-DPC-DP01-WH/dp/B005OP1AS2

What could be the problem ? Acer monitor has DP 1.2 but Clevo Thunderbolt is only 1.1 compatible.

Could this be the problem ?

    Thank you.

Ok, can you switch in Acer monitor from DP1.2 to 1.1 (I can do it in my DELL monitor) and see what happens? You should have SST signal so 30FPS max on Acer at 4K. It serves just to verify if you have the signal! If not, maybe a bad cable!

Where did you find info about TB port 1.1 capability? Clevo on their site said nothing...

  4. I can confirm, p370em + single 970m + modded driver. Bough 970m from r&j tech, have no idea what vbios have it, but it works! :)

The only problem I have is that in Yesemite it does not work with any monitor, even built in! :too_sad:

  5. I am wondering if anyone is successfully running OS X Mavericks without an xpcm-free kernel? I looked up HM87 and it supports VT-x/VT-d - does Clevo not support both? I did a search and saw xpcm-free is only needed with busted VT-d but I have VT-d turned on in the BIOS along with regular virtualization so I don't know why it has the issue (reboots immediately when the apple logo comes up if I don't use the xpcm-free command and the patched kernel to support it).

It's not a huge deal because I know how to use Mac Drive and TransMac to backup and replace Mach_kernel but it's driving me crazy that maybe I'm missing a setting or VT-d option is busted in the BIOS so I thought I would ask.

Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Hi Ethrem! May be it's not the right topik to ask, why you did not try on insanelymac.com? Anyway, if you are using Clover bootloader you can drop DMAR table so VT-d technology would not be used! Simple... :40_002:

  6. If I ever find time I will have to hex myself through the setup...though don't count on me ever finding that time...

Thanks Prema for answering! so the last question:

What you mean "hex myself through the setup"? What setup? Did you mean bios setup? :hopelessness:

    Thanks again!

  7. Twice flashing screen is normal, there are no extra menus for P-EM models, all changes are "under the hood", for more you will have to use Intel XTU Utility...which again you will have to wait for the P150EM XTU EDITION or crossflash, but that will change your HW IDs etc to that of P170EM model.

I don't remember if I had put the "PM" after the BIOS name already into that version...better check the Motherboard Tab in CPU-Z to see if it flashed.

Hi Prema! Thanks for your work!

I have a clevo p370em and have a question: I know the changes are "under the hood" but I have Mac OS Mavericks and for me, and other guys that uses other OS, would be cute to see setting directly in bios/advanced like this guy on clevo p370sm:

When I was choosing a laptop for Mac I already knew about your mod but did not knew about "win+xtu" thing...:too_sad:

    Thanks!

  8. Hi FGame! Did you manage to run your card under your system?

I've asked on this forum about combhination of Clevo p370em (Chief River platform/Intel Ivy Bridge) and gtx 770m card. The seller of card say the card is not compatible, will run only on Shark Bay platform/Intel Haswell CPUs, and here, on forum, guys said I'll be fine with gtx 6xxm series card...

The k3000m card is for Huron River platform/Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs, 2 generation difference with your lappy, info from:

    NVIDIA Quadro K3000M - NotebookCheck.net Tech

So, I'm curios it is run on your laptop?

    Thanks!

P.S.: i bought a quadro k4000m and it is fine with my laptop.

  9. Anyone have an update on this? I have a P375SM that I just bought a 120hz screen for (from the P370SM3).

I finally found the part # I need (which led me to this thread), but we will see where this goes!

    50pin lvds-

    6-43-P37E1-020-J

    Thanks.

Hi lm1z! This cable is eDP, not LVDS! You must be fine! What are you waiting for? Disassemble your lappy and take a look if there is an eDP port soldered near LVDS port!

  10. Any clevo nvidia 600 series card will work. The cheapest decent card is the 670mx, and the best is the 680m. Dell nvidia cards may work, but it is not confirmed. Dell AMD cards will not work. The clevo AMD 7970m is as good as the 680m and will be cheaper, but only get it if you want just 1 card since crossfire does not work as well as SLI.

Your laptop may or may not have the secondary GPU heatsink if you want to use 2 cards. RJ-tech and sellers on ebay sell this heatsink. You can also buy the heatsink with the card.

Thanks Khenglish for your quick answer! Don't know why I was shure 770m will fit fine, it have the same 670mx chip... Anyway, the 680m is too much for my needs (video editing) so I'll go for 670mx or 675mx. Thanks again!

  11. Hi guys! This is my first message...I swear I tried to use google search in forum to find an answer!

I just bought an P370EM without GPU, so I find an gtx770m but seller says that it would not go with this lappy... :culpability:

Could you guys please confirm it? Or link me to a compatibility list of GPU's....

Thanks and sorry for my english!
