Has anyone else encountered ghosting (image retention) on a retina macbook pro? It wasn't bad at first but soon after I had the thing for over a year I started noticing if I'm on a page for more than 5 minutes like watching a Youtube video non-full screen, it will burn in the window frame and text for a good 30 seconds or so. If I open Text Edit I can clearly see YouTube burned in. I was thinking of sending it back but it's out of warranty and I don't have applecare.

I've been attempting to update my G75VW from Windows 8 to 8.1 for the past few days to no avail. I'm getting the dreaded BSOD 0xc1900101 0x40017 and then it reverts back to Windows 8. I've tried updating and uninstalling network, graphic and USB drivers before the upgrade, applied all Windows updates. I went through all 481 posts from here and tried everything they said but still no luck. Has anyone else encountered this on this specific model of laptop? I'm also on the latest BIOS (unmodded).
