Hey Guys.. It may Sound Stupid or Crazy to Install Mac OSX and Ubuntu on an Alienware.. But I Want to .. I dont have any Experience with VirtualBox.

but i have seen ppl running MAC OSX and UBUNTU at the same time via Virtual Box..

i need a Someone who can Guide me through the Process..

if you have some Tutorial Specifically for this Purpose than please post the link..

It has a A08 BIOS !! has Some Change in Boot Option in the Bios..

UEFI something like that..

Awesome i am glad you are getting a replacement. Sometimes its just better that way, some systems just have problem after problem.

Yeah.. BUt it is my 2nd Replacement .. and i am Not happy With the Quality of Product they r Offering!

I had the same Prob..

i am From india.. had the R1 Bought arnd Late June..

called up dell Under 30days of buying.. told them it was hitting 99C and also had some Heating Issues..

Dell Firstly Told me That they Would repair it..

i didnt want that to happen..

asked for replacement .. they cancelled..

Then agreed for a Refund but it was 20,000 INr loss for me.. so i disagreed

and finally after months of talking.. they gave me a Replacement .. but this time it was R2 because R1 Were Stopped Manufacturing..

And Then Replacement System R2 Came on 1st aug.. and again Around 10th aug.. Asked them for the Replacement of that too.. because of Alignment Issues.. and Heatsink Issues..

After another 20-25Days on Phone.. they Agreed For a Replacement.. My Order has been Shipped From the Factory As of Date.. and Hope it is Good this time...

Are you still with issue. Sounds like a bad bios flash and may require a blind flash on usb stick to fix it.

Yeah I fixed it the First time..

and Second time also it happened.. But as my replacement was approved i didnt have to WOrry About that

I downloaded the new bios a04 from dell.. Norton detected it as a virus.. But then i thought may be prob. With my norton.. So resotred the file.. Started it.. My screen went black.. My lights where all on.. Fan was running superfast.. But then waiting for like 10mins .. It would get fixed.. But it didnt so.. After 30mins of it being in the condition i dared and opened the back case.. Pulled the battery connector and it shut down..

When i booted it.. Black screen show with lights on.. No splash screen.. Started beeping..

Please can some one help me recover my laptop.. Please..

So i became a hero and flashed the da above bios.. And now.. My screen got blank.. The fan id running at fullspeed i guess...

Waited for something to appear but after 10mins also nothing happened. Try to shut it off.. But i cannot. Please tell me what to do now...?????

I am Trying to Learn how to edit Vbios and All..

i m a Newbie..

But i know this software called nvflash.. with it i can save bios and all..

i read a lot of stuff all over the net..

the problem i am facing right now .. is

when i give the command

nvflash --save anything.rom

Can Some One Unlock the Bios For M14xR2 To Overclock the CPu??

Also Can Some one explain to me what is diff. betn a VBOIS MOD and A VOLTMOD?

Almost stable isn't stable. Lower your clocks.

The vbios is digitally signed, my mod messes up the certificate so it's invalid. So far it doesn't matter since Nvidia hasn't activated vbios checks in the driver... yet.

Ah yes, I think this got mentioned already, guess I forgot it... the voltage drops at a certain temp? Well, I can try to force it to a higher level... tell me the reported voltage values.

Alright Got your Point. Yes The Voltage Drops Around 65C and i am now using PState 5 Which Makes the Core and Mem run at Maxx Clocks..

I attached my Pc to my Bravia 32" 1080p ..

With ultra Settings I Got 30FPS in BF3!! I was Shocked.. is this Correct ??

My Memory Clock Doesnt Go to +1000! It just crashes is it normal??

And can we unlock shaderclock as we had in Gt555m??

And Also Are you working on Some Ways to get Higher clocks..

With 6GB of Ram And 2Gb of Gt650 DDR5

Flashed ur Modded BIOS..

I have Some Issues..

I OC'd To +330 and +940

It is almost Stable.. But the Probem is that the Core Speed Fluctuates @540 And then Top But Mostly Stays @540

Also when i was trying To Find Stable OC When i ran into unstable Clock.. i had to restart the Laptop and then Try the Next Clocks or else the core Speed Would Stay @450 Only!!

Any Solutions Suggestions?? Please
