  1. Hi Beer Suggest to buy(donate )setup x1.3 from Tech Inferno Fan.saves me from the worse scenarios, especilay with windows 7,since the 8.1 and 10 act diferently with the grafics even alow to disable primary adapter, leaving their space for the egpu.think you have resource problem.anyway try dsdt override first.
  2. Hi all!for those who still have core2duo and could not upgrade here is a Batllefield3 multiplayer gameplay done with my old Fujitsu-SIEMENS AmiloPI 3540 NOTEBOOK using a GTX650 1GB as egpu setup x1.1: 32 players server 64 player server Spec:Processor core2duo T9900 3,06ghz EGPU X1.1 GTX 650 1GB expresscard link Ram 2x2gb ddr2 800mhz Hdd Seagate 500gb 5400rpm Windows 10 x64
  3. hi all,i am unaware if somebody post this before, but here is something promising regard to all egpu fans:PCI SIG to finalize OCuLink external PCI Express this fall | KitGuru
  4. i am using dsdt override .please investigate this. The qualty of the video is bad,but the stuttering cames from my way of moving the phone while recording, otherway the benchmark under dx11 is very smooth.if you want i could ask a friend with a better phone to record me while playing and post the videos.Thank you! i just made another benchmark, this time with extreme settings(dx11)!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBQgEFlS1mg&feature=youtu.be
  5. well, regarding the dx12 benefits for the egpu users ,i found this article that say that among a lot of inovacions we will see a reduction of pciexpress traffic and lower latency.that is exactly what an x1 pcie link need. http://www.redgamingtech.com/directx-12-gdc-2015-early-technical-analysis-news/ .
  6. Hi,Matthew!good to hear that! i suggest to use gpu- z and look if your card runs in x1 2.0 mode under load.regarding the benchmark,i also have that C0 score, but only with internal screen.it would be nice to post the result for your benchmarkings using external screen if gives you a legible score. Thanks!
  7. Hi! Guessing that you don"t have in the bios option to disable the dgpu [check that] you have to disable the dgpu within o.s.To do that,yo have to go to device manager then System device and find the pci/express that host the dgpu.Be sure that you have install the setup chipset from intel site, otherway that pcie won"t show up.As you can see in my case ,i disable the pcie controller that host the dgpu ,and it disappeared from the dysplay adapter list. From here install the egpu driver and you have to see this option of choosing betwen igpu and egpu as a grafics processor the trick is to wipe out the dgpu from the display adapter list..So,is not enough to disable it from display adaper list since the o.s still see it as a basic vga adapter, you have to search for that pcie controller that host the dgpu and disable it[not unninstal] in system devices. It works for me in W7,W8.1 and W10. I am sure that it will work for you also.
  8. what about the new usb3.1 type C?could be consider a valid candidate for a egpu setup?since it could use alternate signal, and could drive even pci-express signal if the manufacturers implement it.
  9. hope that dx12 will act at least like dx9 in terms of pci-e bandwidth since this is the major stepdown of an egpu in these days.OR could have the same bandwith compression that the dx9 has.Anyway since it looks like a completely new games enviroment,i am sure that it comes with one or more nice surprises for the egpu users.even the asinchronous multi-gpu support,if turned out to be oficial news,it will be a game changer i guess.i am pretty impacient to see it work.question of time.
  10. Hi maty_CZ! you have a nice setup!and it is optimus compatible.in order to actívate, you have to disable the dgpu from your system. This can be done by disable the pci-express that host the dgpu in the device manager or using x1 setup provide by Tech Inferno Fan.you will see a big boost mostly in dx9 aplications.the score in 3dmark2006 will go up to >20.000 points. and also you can use the internal screen with the egpu .
  11. tis is my setup:http://forum.techinferno.com/implementation-guides/7479-%5Bguide%5D-15-msi-ge620dx-gtx750ti%404gbps-c-mpcie2-pe4h-2-4-win7.html#post102604 my laptop has legacy bios and is accepting the egpu without no problem.guess the uefi bios may have some Little problem, but think is nothing to worry about.
  12. optimus is there, but without switch between Intel hd-egpu function.this mode is only available in the internal screen mode since the Intel hd is not conected to external monitor.
  13. hi,lind.heart!y guess you have to install the Intel hd integrated drivers from here https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ in order to notice some optimus acceleracion.
  14. hi laust69!,for x1.1 optimus you have to check if your Intel hd ghraphics is apear in bios or device manager.optimus trigger only if detects an Intel hd,3000,4000 integrated ghrapchis.the best choice in my opinión is to use a nvidia card with optimus since you could have the advantage of dx9 acceleration and internal screen acceleration.(use the screen of laptop for rendering along with the egpu). i have an nvidia gtx 750 ti and it Works very well considering that it has a very low tdp.But if the energy is not a worry for you suggest a gtx 660 or higher.but yo could face with two problems: 1.your tolud it could be high and not be posible to acomódate your egpu(in this case you need x1 setup provide by Tech Inferno Fan by making a donnation) 2.your integrated Intel hd could be a dormant igpu(not wirred to display(could only actívate optimus by using Windows 8.1 without the internal screen acceleration option) suggest to study with attention the experiences of the others users before. good luck!
  15. hi!,anybody have an idea why the bpplus quit the pciemm-060b cable from their store?it is very easy to work with it. and i think it is the only way to try a x1.2 conection on the pe4h v2.4 adapter,by using this cable.tiny and usefull. a bad move from bp plus.
  16. there is no impact performance regarding x1 and x16 sockets,ONLY if you can dou x2 configuration, wich is only alowed in chipset older than Intel 6 chipset series.in another words one hdmi input represent one lane of x16 no matter if the socket is x1 or x16.i like most the x16 sockets adapter since they give the graphics card more fisicall stability.wich is importatnt is that the adapter have gen2 functionality.take your time and choose the one that it has more advantage (cost, future proof,quality.....)) you can find all the information in this fórum. Good luck!
  17. before install Windows 7 recommend upgrade bios and ,yes it will be way much better to run instead of vista the point is that you have to make it work with 4gb,ram,an x64 bits O.S and enjoy the x1.1 optimus performance you are welcome! just post your advances and will try to help you ! Remember to install an x64 bits O.S versión!
  18. thank you Tech Inferno Fan!i was thinking that i missed something.so the point is to install Windows 7?right?
  19. ok.now do a reverse dsdt override and erase that code.and then load the aml file without it with only 1 module of ram it is no need, and could cause problems a litlle complicated isn"t it? don"t worry it will work. ram is fine
  20. no dsdt override this time with one memory stick it should Works without i think you should try both ways plug it before and after Anyway once you make dsdt override it remains on the dsdt table!
  21. heyy, sounds too good to be true! if you have igpu 4500hd you can do x1.1 optimus!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT you have to use an older driver! ok ,pull out a ram module ,and try again
  22. ok.don·t worry i have a Fujitsu siemens with the same age. now,do you have by chance x1.setup? i ask because in my amilopi due the high tolud i was need to do both things :dsdt override and egpu compactation on 36 bits to get my laptop working. . and what dgpu it has?assume it is a nvidia 9300m gs. and what egpu do you use? what is the ram amount? with a x32 bits system 4gb ram is useless since it could manage up to 3gb.so you could try pull out a ram module see if the egpu is working.in this case dsdt override does not have sense. if it Works with only 1 ram module (mine was working without nothinhg more to do) then you should consider upgrade ram to 4gb and insatll an Windows x64 versión,and make dsdt override and a 36 bits compactation Sorry if i am not so explicit! don;t worry it will Works, finally!
  23. wich O.S do you have?and what laptop model?
  24. using >4gb ram mean using x64 os bits and x64 driver ghrapics card wich could be an incentive for a low spec.system.i recommend to do that. http://forum.techinferno.com/diy-e-gpu-projects/7476-%5Bguide%5D-dsdt-override-fix-error-12-a.html#post102517 NOW i sugest a few things to increase the performance of your egpu setup: if your egpu adapter alows x2 link configuration it could be 15-30%more performance but with the disvantage of spending some extra cash try upgrading your dual core with a better one(on ebay you should find many these days at a very low Price) use optimizing tool like razer game booster to minimize the usage of the resource of your system i was having a good games experience with my old Fujitsu amilopi by upgrading the P7350 weak processor to an T9900 an making an x1.2 link configuration until i could by a laptop with an i7 second-gen processor.Good luck! - - - Updated - - - - - - Updated - - - - - - Updated - - - ok.let me khnow if it Works.
  25. ok.x1 setup is a very usefull tool for the e-gpu users.if you can buy it i recommend to do that.NOW , a egpu card in order to have a fully functionality inside a system like Windows needs to have a space memory alocated in 32bits space.if that does not hapendd(mostly because of a higher tolud)you have to use x1.setup to compact the memory OR use the alternative of making a dsdt override to extend the space memory to a 36bits ,so the egpu could be acomódate in that space. http://forum.techinferno.com/diy-e-gpu-projects/7476-%5Bguide%5D-dsdt-override-fix-error-12-a.html#post102517
