  1. So it is also not working. I need something like a small board which simulates motherboards soft on/off. Or i have to buy a "real" on/off button, ... damn ...
  2. Hi, hopefully someone can help. I have the same problem with my egpu in my new case: BitFenix.com » Products » Chassis » Phenom Micro-ATX If i connect power pin from case power button to JP1 from SWEX i can turn on. Bu i have to hold the button. If not power goes off. Is there an extra switch somewhere to buy which could work in between? [powerbutton]-[switch,on/off]-swex,jp1 ? Thanks for any help. Or is this: what i need? So pressing the button gives signal to psu to turn on, pressing again gives signal to turn off?
  3. newest nvidia drivers causing bluescreen. so false alert. old drivers work without ptoblems ...
  4. Hi Nando, got my things together and testet today. What i did was disabling dgpu in windows 8, deinstalled all drivers and rebootet. Than i rebootet with egpu on and a new gpu was listed "windos standard grafik card" or so.Than i installed latest nvidia drivers and all worked fine.I had to reboot once and than after this all drivers where installed. Directly after installation i started playing BF3 and perfect. Everything worked. Now if i reboot again i get bluse screen on windows 8 boot. If i put out egpu i can boot to windows 8 again. Hotplugging also not working. Stange sounds and again blue screen. Also standby/ hibernate trick not working.Am i right using software 1.x could solve this? Thanks for your help.SO to your reply above: It seems my internal gpu is still primary. On boot i only see boot stuff on my notebook lcd, nothing on my external monitor. Adriano
  5. Thanks for your reply, nando. Let me get it clearly. - If i boot with egpu powered on my primary video card will be the egpu. Is it a problem that my dgpu is still running? And also both are nVidia. Are there no driver conflicts? Do i have than 3 GPUs? - I got MBR/BIOS bootmanager, so i decide which system to boot. So is it correct than after this decisicon the Windows Bootmanager will popup, with WIndows boot or software 1.x egpu menu? Best. A.
  6. Nice, i also still have a Commodore 5.25" floppy drive. Please post more picz and part numbers. I want todo this exactly the same
  7. Hi nando, i ordered a PE4L and i own a Dell Latitude e6420 Notebook. I have igpu Intel HD 3000 AND a dgpu nVidia NVS 4200M. Because of the NVS i think i have to use 1.x software. The problem is that i fear using software 1.x because i currently use following boot manager: Boot-Manager Boot-US: Welcome I use this boot manager to boot 2 systems. My work System on SSD1 (Windows 7) and my home system on SSD2 (Windows 8). boot-us bootmanager is nice because i can really hide partitions from both systems. So work admins do not see home partitions. And i can easly swap out home SSD (it is optical drive bay). It would be bad if i would destroy this setting with software 1.x. Is it possible to run software 1.x only on usb stick and only if i need it. I would only need it in Windows 8. And only on weekends when iam at home. Other thing i like to say is that i do not really need optimus. For me it would be feasible to use always an external monitor in windows 8. So would it be possible to connect the egpu poer it on and than start my notebook with external monitor on. What i read somewhere was that a latitude recognizes than the egpu as primary video card and uses it. That would be fantastic. Thanks for your help and iam really willed to pay for your software! Best regards, Adriano
