Greetings, I have MSI motherboard that is very similar to some notebooks as it contains BGA mobile CPU. It is MSI C847MS-E33 with AMI Aptio BIOS. So I wanted to unlock some menus in BIOS and so I started this quest. So far I had very limited success due to my limited knowledge in this field, but gathered information can be useful to you guys - so I thought to register and share this findings. - First little about my MB - if you are interested to aid me: Official website link: MSI Global ? Motherboard - C847MS-E33 You will notice latest BIOS version at website is 1.1 while there is an more updated version from MSI board forums 1.1.1 with unlocked VT-x. If needed I will post this version too. I opened BIOS file in AMIBCP 4.53 and there is a bunch of options, but all are already selected as to be unhidden. I was reading some other thread about AMI Aptio on Sony laptops and it seems that Aptio BIOSes are using some other way to show/hide options as there is feature that overwrites some settings on each reboot, so using AMIBCP method to show options for some users gave bad results. First I thought that there is some key combination to unlock all features - and I found some that worked for someone - ALT + F1 or CTRL + F1 or Shift + F1 while in BIOS - but not for me. Than I found an info that it might be breakthrough to you guys. Some third party MB producer left Aptio source code on their FTP server unprotected! Here is torrent link to those files: http://www.torrenthound.com/torrent/bdc151b63cac4b0fdf06ba98ddf34f64b44180c3 Hope this helps.
