Try the latest beta drivers from Nvidia and check if your score improves

With Haswell CPU, you can OC a bit (200/400/600 mhz) on 4700/4800/4900 with XTU.
With 4930mx, you can freely OC what you want.
Once we have a proper modded bios from PREMA, probably we can also freely OC the other non MX cpus. Prema said it's coming for SM series.
Regarding the score, with a very light OC you can easily get your 680M SLI score.
If you are willing to dig deeper and try a stronger OC, we know from johnkss that the 780M SLI can go stable up to 1050+/6000+ @1.050/1.100mv, easily reaching and surpassing 18/19k GPU score on 3dMark 11.
Johnksss has a crazy 20k+ GPU score on that, but that's a bit extreme.
Once I have time, I'll humbly test my MX cpu and some further GPU OC/OV on mine too.
My personal goal is to able to game continously at 4.5 ghz CPU and 1050/6000 780M SLI.
We will see if I can achieve it :-)
yep, know about the scores) you can check the ones i've posted a few weeks back and compare them to yours
*Official Sager NP9380, NP9390 / Clevo P370SM, P370SM3, P375SM Owner's Lounge** - Page 37
for everyday gaming i used 1006/2800 1.037v clocks and temps never went higher 80C for GPU1 and 75C for GPU2 with FN+1
There's also a TS 6.0 Beta released, may be it has Haswell support as well. 4.5Ghz for CPU would be very nice indeed)
-
Wow, great rig! Congrats) does the system get hot while gaming/normal use? Did you try 3D gaming, how does it feel?) Really interesting to see what MX CPU is capable of
P. S. As far as i know 780m scores almost 16k gpu on stock in 3Dmark11 and with 980/2800 1.025v should be around 18k gpu

Does anyone know if the p375sm heat sinks fit the p370em? Mainly want better slave up cooling.
I bet they do! But you have to change all 3 of them, cause the cpu hs is no longer connected to the 2nd gpu

Is it possible to loose 3D functionality if 680m/780m on selected laptops with 3d vision are flashed with modified vbios?

For the post above! What's your voltage? Should be around 1.05v to run at 950/1400

It's mentioned under Subvendor line in GPU-Z. It should say Clevo/Kapok or Schenker. Yeah, just use the one provided in the first post. 80.04.67.00.01 will work just fine like the others for Clevo)

hey guys, i have 2 GTX 680M, (80.04.67.00.01) in SLI. So i can download the 80.04.67.00.01 Oc Edition and it flashes both of my GTX 680M Cards? or just one? My Notebook is the P370SM! thanks in advance.
Nope, you have to flash each card independently! Use i0 for the 1st gpu and i1 for the second. Make sure to use Clevo vbios! Re read the flash gpu post once again and good luck)

Hi, fellas) Could anybody help me out with this one plz? Is it possible to flash the Clevo 7970M form P150EM with vbios version 015.018.000.000 to the Dell vbios provided in the 1st post? The reason why i want to do this is that the Clevo card don't have auto fan control and i have to set it up using HWInfo. Tnx a lot)
-
Thanks for the Bios for the 780m tested it with my P150SM and works awesome, can run now stock clocks stable at -50mV or at stock 1v @ 1023/3000 (didn't tested fully yet) so i can keep the temps down.
Btw if someone interested in this my 780m ASIC is 78.8% so it shouldn't be a too bad clocker.
Did you use the one on the 1st page or asked svl7 to help you? Tnx

tnx for the hard work, guys! Also, can you confirm if the modified vbios is universal for all brands or Dell specific?
-
Tnx for the posts, guys) The thing is that i have an M17xR4 laptop and plan to upgrade it to 780M. I can get a Clevo 780M from a P375SM model in a month or so and decided to install it on my system. I've read people installed MSI/Dell 780M's in AW laptps with no issues and iGPU working.
svl7, do you think Clevo 780M will run fine on my system with some vbios flash or its better to buy a different GPU in my case? Tnx a lot
-
Hey, gurus of OC) can someone enlighten me please which vbios can be flashed to which GPU's:
Dell GPU - ONLY Dell vbios;
MSI GPU - Dell/MSI vbios;
Clevo GPU - Clevo/MSI vbios
Am i correct? Regards

Sure, see no reason why not)

Great! Seems like the pre-production clevo units reviewd by noteboock check recently still had the old hs. Meaning we could see lower temps and less noise after all) tempting...

There is a rumor for a Titan M in autumn this year to compete with ... oh, dunno... lol.
Hehe) Titan M sounds pretty nice, though

I doubt too much would be gained from flashing a 8970m vBIOS in comparison to just flashing an overclocked one for the 7970m. The 8970m is just a clock bump; AMD is planning on outdoing their current GPUs (in the desktop area either) for the rest of the year.
There is a rumor about 8990m in autumn this year to compete with gtx 780m!

What can I use besides 3dmark to test the card for throttling? And something besides furmark aswell, as I kinda fear it not to damage the card or something else in the laptop.
Unigine 4.0

today i bought GC-EXTREME
some tests showed me that gc-extreme is more efficient than arctic silver 5.
90°C seems to be the maximum temperature i could have achieve with kombustor (13 mins).
the efficient of the gc-extreme will increase within 2 day.. I'm waiting for that and then i'll report the results.
Did you overclock? It was said that 680m gpu's runs around 70c max after 3dmark bench on p570wm. Anything above 90c throttles and there's a reason for that. It's not healthy as stated above.
Try Unigine 4.0 benchmark and see how it goes

What exactly would we gain from doing that? :s
1. Stock clocks on 8970m are 900/1250 with higher voltage which can result in better overclocking
2. It's always nice to have the most up to date gpu in your laptop, hehe)
-
hehe! had m18x with 2x 7970m. both couldn't go higher than 910/1350 on stock 1.0v voltage. didn't try overvolting, though. whant to wait till 8970m is released, could be possible to flash its bios on 7970m)

Hey there, fellas) Could somebody point me out what is the best modified vbios for M17xR4 3D with 680M GPU? This one - 80.04.5B.00.02? Tnx, using Windows 8 right now
-
Tried the overvolted 7970M to 1075v vbios and it tend to be not stable for me. First i ran Unigine 3.0 with 1040/1500 then bumped a little and the system crushed. Tried all the settings down to 1000/1500 (my stock voltage clocks) but none of the games was stable. So i reverted back to start) Anyways, nice job svl7!

Hey Brian, do you plan on getting the 2nd card in the future? Seems like some peole were having hard time installing 7970m (driver related) cf in R1, probably it won't affect future 680m sli owners
Clevo P370SM benchmarks?

Yeah, that seems much better now) are you gaming at these clocks? Did you try TS for CPU OC? Dunno if it has support for Haswell
