  1. As the title says, that's my situation right now, my cpu and internal gpu stay at the 60s or 70s when gaming, but for some reason, my ultrabay likes to hit the 80s and 90s.... I'm running at 1100mv for them both but is there something I need to change in the bios or anything I can do to bring the temps down? this definitely doesnt seem right. the ultrabay is gpu 1, not 0 right?

  2. Flash svl7's mod for the BIOs, and additionally the Ultrabay vBIOS if you have SLI. Sticky at the top of the Lenovo section.

Or you can use the stock voltage ones provided by jester_socom on the first page of this thread. I'm pretty sure they're the exact same thing since he based the overvolt mod on svl7's work.

You'll probably find that you cannot get as high on the core with stock voltage as you can with increased voltage. Whether the trade-off in heat is worth it is up to you. It seems I got a good GPU so I was able to get pretty high without overvolting. It really depends on the luck of the draw.

Okay, that makes a ton more sense, thanks man! I'm probably going to try and see how it runs on stock volts tommorow. All that bios flashing stuff confused the hell out of me at first but it really isn't all that bad now that I've done it once.

  3. It's even worse when you're in a region that isn't directed served by lenovo.com and where Lenovo seems to think that selling a single SKU seems to be a good idea... I can only get my hands on a 650M SLI. I go abroad to a nearby country, and there I can only find the single-750M.
Damn, well atleast we're lucky that the 750m is just a higher clocked 650 ight? I'm trying to flash my bios and do all that so that I dont regret buying this thing. It's running beautifully but a few extra frames here and there could be nice. The only place I found with the 750 was the website, they havent even stocked any retail stores with it i dont think :(
  4. I pretty much just caved in and bought the old y500 with sli 650ms cause I had so much trouble trying to order from lenovo's website. Plus I hate waiting and it's been working fine for my needs (3d modeling)
