There is a horrible bug with windows 8.1 RTM/final and the 650m/750m sli configs.
No driver even the latest 331.40 driver
seems to fix this bug

fresh windows 8 install, 120gb m500 ssd, 9 seconds boot from push of the button
are u using legacy support or uefi
-
Yeah, the offset is off, I don't have a machine to test that stuff myself, I'll fix it when I get the chance, but it really doesn't matter.
See my post here, it behaves similarly, but it has no effect when it comes to the functionality: http://forum.techinferno.com/general-notebook-discussions/1847-nvidia-kepler-vbios-mods-overclocking-editions-modified-clocks-voltage-tweaks-48.html#post57020
so are u tell me that the stock values are reading wrong on your latest bios mods
because i increase the volts to +225 to get it to 1.15 volts
-
to tell u the honest truth i dont remember
but are u speculatiing that it may be caused by the the hack bios that we are using from slv7

I disabled windows 8 fast boot, but after awaking the laptop from sleepmode bluetooth is disabled.
Eventviewer show this error.
<event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"><event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
After some more research it seems to be a windows 8 / driver issue. LINK</event></event>
i get the same thing after sleep mode with the original wifi car
this is so annoying

i'm too lazy to disassemble the aml just to check, i guess some power related features, or might be a tweak for the 750m, no idea... Could be tons of stuff.
i would love to know the changes

Added the revised vbios to the first post, if you're an SLI user on the latest 2.04 mod I recommend flashing it.
whats the difference
-
First of all, my bluetooth icon has dissapeared from my icon menu on the lower right hand part of my screen,
but the main problem is when the pc goes to sleep the bluetooh devices do not operate when the pc awakes
anyone has any ideas.

Yeah sure.
If you have a i7 make sure to run prime95 while overclocking and monitor power consumption.
I have read reports that when overclocking too far battery starts to drain. 1000-1200mhz should be fine.
I would personally do 1100 max for daily usage.
If you turn off turbo boost you can overclock further. It's a 20C difference With a i7 probably 30C going from 2.1 to 3.1 compared to 2.5 to 2.9 on my i5
Trust me turning off turbo boost can help greatly with gaming comfortably. You will maybe have few fps less on games like Planetside 2 or ArmA 3.
This is just how I prefer to play games. Most will disagree on these forums. You choose how you play. Remember that
ok jester explain to me how that works
how will lowering your fps via turbo boost make gaming more comfortable
are you talking about the 20c to 30c less heat you will feel on your hands
-
hey octiceps i is see you have the 16gb ssd in your y500, is it performing well enough boot times and overall systems responsiveness wise to warrant one to be comfortable and not need a ssd.
-
WHy dont people just go and buy a matte screen protector that will fix the glossy screen is crap on my laptop
-
A bit faster than 675MX, way faster than 670MX. But 675MX is a great overclocker and can beat it once overclocked.
-
how does a 1200/2500 mhz sli 650m stack up against a stock 670/675 mx in terms of performance
-
whats the best budget wifi card to replace this crap intel with that supports bluetooth
-
i dont see the link for the eco mod on the front page
