Nope, that won't be an issue, you will never reach this value unless you increase the voltage. Increasing the voltage will always result in higher temps which will shorten the life of the card. Yet I haven't managed to actually kill a card so far, all the values are reasonable, and 1.212v is the max you can set with software, there's nothing you need to worry about if you ask me.
Can you send me a copy of your vbios? If I'm not mistaken the ACX vbios has some slight differences. The vbios posted here should work fine, but it might result in a weird fan behavior when used on the ACX card, not sure.
Came here to post the exact same thing

Anybody here with a Gigabyte reference card, Could you post your max voltage? With +38(Max OV) in Precision X I only reach 1.187v.
For whatever its worth my EVGA SC Reference also came with max 1.187 before the modded bios.

Not here are you watching a flash video?
It was actually the driver @ fault. I had switched power management mode from "adaptive" to "prefer maximum performance" for some benchmarking and forgot to switch it back.

Does Chrome keep anyone else's P-State @ P0?

Sounds good, can you post a benchmark and or some graphs showing the clocks? Also if you don't mind can you send me or upload the SC vbios?
Messaged you.

I thought you had a Titan before or did you sell it? Anyway, try NVInspector to change your voltages, I found that Precision X and its variants can be buggy at times. Just so you guys know: Once @svl7 has determined the vbios is 100% stable and has received enough bug reports from you guys, we'll make the final version available to all on the main download portal. In the mean time, please submit any bugs you encounter (or if you don't and just want to brag about your new high score) in this thread and/or forum. We won't be giving any support on other forums.
I returned my Titan's for 780s. Been using the bios on my EVGA GTX 780 SC since last night and so far so good. Haven't ran into any bugs as of yet.

I personally can't wait for it. My card has me limited at 1.18 for whatever reason,

Question is will svl7 bless 780 owners with a custom bios with GPU Boost removed?

Revised the 'OC edition', the updated files can be found in the first post. I adjusted the fan curve a bit so that it behaves more or less like the original vbios, but allows 100% fan speed.
The older version resulted in a too passive fan curve which lead to higher temps unless the fan got adjusted per software.
So if you ask me it's a good idea to update.
Try it with a .bat file, this might work better for running it automatically when the system boots.
Will try that. In regards to the updated bios, is there any benefit to us watercooled users updating vs the previous version?

What I do is use nv inspector shortcuts and have them run at start up. Both my cards are preset to run at 1120MHz and 1.175v while precision x controls the custom fan curve.
Sent from my GT-N7000
I've tried doing this but for whatever reason the shortcuts don't trigger the change in my set up @ startup. The desktop shortcuts however do. Very strange.

I see a bunch of the OCN gang here,

Would you advise against using this on a water cooled reference model SC 780?
