  1. Not sure if anyone has found this, but i found some of lenovos api's for fan speed and things like keyboards under Program Files (x86) > Lenovo > Power Mangement > Lenovo.EnergyMangement.dll, LenovoEMExpandedAPI.dll, LenovoSDKEmSubSystem.dll

I saw some people wondering about turning up fan speed and such, and there is a function called SetHighSpeedOfFan that sounds like a solution. There are also options for backlight, brightness, and a bunch of others.

I opened it with VS Express, but i assume other programs would also work.

Hopefully this helps some of you! :)

    Screenshot of some options:

Good find would like to know if its possible to boost fan speed. Has any1 messed with it any Results?

  2. I am also Having this problem If you came up with a solution that I missed please let me know

I tried a few things still cant get it up update..

Maybe seeing the full error can help.. This is on windows 7 64bit

  3. Added the revised vbios to the first post, if you're an SLI user on the latest 2.04 mod I recommend flashing it.

Just tried to flash my 750m ultrabay and I keep getting this error any ideas this was on the newest nvflash on windows.. If I go thought dos I get error a newer version of nvflash is required.

  4. Ok know someone can help me I looked over the guide over and over I finally got my bios backup its around 4,608kb named Biosback.bin, Anyway I am having trouble with the Y500biosfix, I am logged into windows right click Y500biosfix I type in Biosback.bin then it ask for the Modified bios file where do I get that I have y500 2.02 firmware installed.

  5. Temps on my GPU is slightly lower than yours, since I have redone the thermal paste. On the other hand, temp on the CPU reach 100C sometimes. I didn't get a good bin. I will prob change it to a 3840QM. Next week I will be modding an extra heatpipe for the CPU in there.

How you going to mod the heatpipe there is no room for anything? I was trying to adding extra copper heatsinks but no go .

  6. I got 2900++ with Firestrike, but that wasn't optimum. Somehow the GPU wasn't boosting to max clock, probably due to heat issues. The CPU is dumping too much heat.

Meanwhile I re-ran Uningine and 3DMark11, and broke my record again. This time I set the Long Duration Power Limit to only 36W in the BIOS. I have a +220 MHz clock offset and +425MHz memory clock offset.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor,LENOVO INVALID score: P5396 3DMarks

WOW great score But how is the fps boost in a normal game?

  7. Holy **** 98 C?!? That's even hotter than my CPU gets with ThrottleStop on. Something is definitely not right there. What thermal paste did you use? Did you make sure to use only a tiny bit and not spread it with your finger (big no-no)? Remember a lot of the popular ones like Arctic Silver 5 and ICD 7 have a curing time before they reach maximum performance.

I'm guessing your GPU probably throttles at that temperature as well. Maybe you shouldn't overclock; GT 750M SLI at stock is already plenty fast without having to OC. Is your Ultrabay a lot cooler at stock?

From what I've read it seems that the new 750M definitely runs hotter than than the 650M due to the voltage and clock speed increases. Neither of my GPU's has yet to break 80 C at stock including one day when I was playing BF3 in an oven-like 85 F room (it's almost summer in California). Once I find my maximum OC on this rig I'll check the temperatures again.

A lot of people who've disassembled their machines including you and me have already confirmed that repasting doesn't do anything to lower the temps. Sloppy application and using poor-quality TIM is usually responsible for heat problems but with my unit it looked like Lenovo did a pretty decent job at the factory. I put on a very good application of OCZ Freeze which has no curing time and great performance and didn't do anything for me either.

I used Prolimatech pro-pk1-5g pk-1 thermal paste no break in time needed , I using msi afterburner on screen and hwinfoI to monitor never seen throttlestop the main gpu and cpu never go over 81c.. The only problem is the ultrabay on skyrim for example both gpu's will be at 95-98% with 135+ and 400+ oc thats when I get 98c but at stock it will never go over 88c. So today was playing planetside 2 gpus run at 68-98% played for 3 hours and main gpu 79c cpu 78-81 and ultrabay gpu 88c wasnt even running the cooling pad fan.[h=1][/h]
