Maybe I can help, how did you apply the thermal paste on your CPU and GPU ? Dot method ?

I recently applied thermal paste on my Clevo CPU with dot method, but instead of just leave the dot i used a card to spread the paste over the chip and for me the results were better.

Before i did this i was getting a big jump from 45ºc to 90ºc on Prime95 ( without full fans hotkey ) and now with that "new" method i just got from 45ºc to 70ºc on Prime95 ( without full fans hotkey ) all this in 5 minutes test !

I own a clevo P150EM, I used the arctic cooler mx-4 and my clevo only have 2 mods, the foil mod for GPU and CPU and this ( to give my Clevo height to help the entry of more air for cooling ) its like cooling pad but without fans.

@ALL seeing the problems some people experience with the current unlocked Maxwell vBIOS, I decided to release this for the MXM cards after all:

- Power throttle disabled

- Over-voltage slider enabled (up to the maximum of 1.2v)

- Activated thermal slider (to keep it cooler if desired)

- Core overclock slider raise

- Thermal protection activates at 87c (at which point it'll throttle in order to protect the system)

This vBIOS uses stock clocks and voltage and also keeps the stock Turbo functionality intact unless, You decide to overclock/overvolt.

It has been successfully tested for the last 2 months and has proven to not cause any problems on the following CLEVO P-Series systems:

P150EM

P150SM

P150SM-A

P170SM

P170SM-A

P370EM

P3xxSM

P3xxSM-A

P570WMx

P750ZM

P770ZM

While it theoretically works for all 8GB MXM versions on systems other companies and is know not to fix the throttle issue on Alienware!

Wait Prema are you tell me that if i buy the nvidia gtx 980m card i can put on my clevo P150EM and with that vbios and use the card with full power on my laptop ?

I have clevo p150em Windows 8.1 intel 7260 ac with prema bios v2.

You can disable Enduro by searching Windows registry for a string "EnableULPS" and changing the DWORD value from 1 to 0 where possible.

This is a well known bug in FC3 DX11 running on 7970M. I think that disabling Enduro will not change anything.

Sorry to say but enduro on clevos P1xxEM/P1xxSM its impossible to turn off, only clevos P1xxHM and P3xxEM/SM can disable enduro !

I would like to know if it's possible to do that because i want to upgrade from 7970m to 8970m, only because vram 2gb vs 4gb !

So if this works I win in 2 ways first the more vram for games like bf4 (using 1.8gb for now) and second, not too important, an updated card !

My question is did I need some especial vbios or a modify bios to make amd 8970m compatible and work well on my clevo P150EM ?

Hey guys. I was having difficulty with my spacebar, so I decided to take it off to clean underneath it. Lifting from the top, I removed and then cleaned it, however, I am now unable to reattach it back to the keyboard. I even followed

to remove the Windows key as a test, and now that key won't go back on either!

Could somebody please create a video/picture guide or explain how to reattach the keys? Thanks.

heya i just installed w8.1 buttt when i update drivers for my gfx card (7970m) and reboot only a black screen appears. The drivers were taken from amds website. Anyone got and idea whats wrong? i would think it would be something to do with the drivers but not sure.

Hello I have Clevo P150EM with 8.1 and i use this amd driver also Intel driver Leshcat try that drivers for me fix my problem with windows 8.1 !

Somehow I find problems with AMD drivers too but with that driver problem solved for me !

You should be fine with the AC cards, i'm running an intel ac-7260, many others are too. No issues

Good to know to get the advantage of AC card I need first to update my router N to ac right ? I need to wait a little bit for that.. to get a little more of my 100mb internet..

How powerful is the AC wireless cards for now ?

I am not aware of any problems with ac cards.

Hey prema Nice work with v2 I just update over the last bios mod 1.4 and everything works perfect, now i can overclock my 3720qm , one question it is important to update ME FIRMWARE ? I didn't update yet can i do it after update bios to v2 ?

I see that you separated efi mode from OS option in bios, so now can i have efi + windows 7 for more fast boot ?

How is going the gtx 780m so far ?

Hello again Prema I final understand that your bios mod have ec + bios include. Nice job the update run very well I just have to re-install AMD driver (13.2 beta7) and hotkeys(8.0101) again in my P150EM and is everything working very well with better temperatures.

I am happy with this update v1.0.4 and all I need for the future is the CPU & iGPU Overclocking (XTU EDITION) I have 3720QM btw Nice image for boot works well !

BIOS v14 & EC12 is a strange combination for P150EM. Usually EC v12 is for P170EM and has the fans allowing higher temps until spin as that system is designed for hotter CPUs.

So yes, I think using the latest P150EM stock BIOS or Prema Mod will solve your issue.

I'm asking because I don't know if update with stock bios (ec+bios) or Prema Mod (bios only i think) .

Hi Prema, I have system bios 1.02.14 and EC 1.02.12 and i have one "problem" with this new bios. The problem is the profile of fans, when i was with the old bios my computer did not come close to 80°c while playing (72ºc in bf3 for example), now with this new bios with EFI option the temps are high to me and i think there is a mess with profile of fans.

I'm with windows 8 on Clevo P150EM with 3720qm and 7970m (The bios is of P170EM) and I have no overclock apply.

Can you help me ? Can your bios for P150EM provide better profiles ?
