  1. There's also another option to adjust voltage, ASUS GPU Tweak (v2.4.3.1 under "Utilities"). Its the only utility that allows me to set voltage on both my cards after using Afterburners -xcl switch.

I've detailed some steps from my experience using it here. It also has its own version of Afterburners -xcl command if you set it to advanced mode and go to Settings-> Tune->Tune Settings. Tick the box that says "Overclocking range Enhancement", follow prompts and wait till its complete.

That setting is GPU Tweaks version of Afterburners -xcl switch. It doesn't unlock voltage for me in GPU Tweak but it does enable Overdrive in CCC and voltage adjustment in TRIXX though so its very similar to Afterburners -xcl command. Voltage may work for others who are running Dell cards or maybe a different revision of vBIOS. I know it doesn't work for AlienHacks ES card.

I suspect since the xcl and Overclocking Range Enhancement both use the same exploit ie. emulation of the powerplay table in the registry, it depends on the type of powerplay table its mimicking. I think Afterburners version of the table works for my card or it loads a table that's compatible with my card.

@titi974 With regards to your throttling have you made sure your temps are not causing it? Are you running the 240W PSU?

@Tulius Try ASUS GPU Tweak. My primary card was stuck at 0.975v and my second card at 1.00v even though my vBIOS is set at 1.05v for 3D mode. With this app I can set it to any 3D voltage and clocks I like. It even has functionality to set 2D mode clocks and voltages.

  2. I overcloked my two 7970m again with 930/1400 overvolting 1.075v and testing my GPU1 was ok with 1.075v but GPU2 even working wuth crossfire only indicates 0.950v in VDDC sensor in GPU-Z... is it normal? I think the second graphics card can't keep up pace with the first one so it crashes.

I dont notice later but now my default card voltage for GPU1 is 1.000v cant go back to 1.075 even when flashing back to default VBios, my second card is 0.950v no matter VBios I flashed in it.

  3. Hi folks, just tried to gain more fps in game with overcloking my 7970M CrossfireX setup(M18X-R2), but I havent`good resuts: First flashed with 900-1300-ov1075v ROM and play Tomb Raider with it, tested with the internal game benchmarking that shows a increase in 10-15 in the FPS levels, but just passed 15 minutes of play and the machine crashed with a horrible sound. Thereafter I turn off the laptop and flashed back to the original bios to try the same level of overcloking, but this time configuring the AMD overdrive with 900 GPU 1300 MEM to test it again in the same game and monitoring the temps played Tomb Raider again and about the same time the game soft crashed turning back to desktop screen...

My ASICS scores as follows are 76.6% to GPU 1 and 81.6% to GPU 2. Are these ASIC qualit scores too low for a good overclock? Any ideas about what could I do to safely find the sweet point of these GPUs? Can I overclock if the GPU is downclocked to 1.000V?

Thanks for the help in advance =)

  4. thanks for the amazing help and guidance by @svl7 i am happy to announce the unlocked A10 BIOS modded by yours truly! First post updated with the download link.

    ONLY FLASH OVER A10 ORIGINAL!!

    Cheerz!

Hi, I`m on A10 original bios right now, so to flash to the unlocked A10 bios shall I do the blind flash using the unlocked A10 QBR10EC.fd renamed to M18R2.hdr file? Isn't safer to flash A03 BIOS first and then flash A10 unlocked? Thanks.
