Why would you do that when the necessary files have already been leaked per above?
Sorry, did not see that...
Great news indeed!

Dear svl7,
What if we extract the 'nVidia updated' VBIOS from the Y5x0 main bios and flash it to the ultrabay GPU?
Could this work?
Greetings,

+1
Thanks svl7!
Working! Flashed with nvflash_windows_5.142. THNX!!! -
Hi svl7,
The size of the ROM image is perfectly fine (95744 bytes), see the output of the command below:
>nvflash -i1 --pciblocks
NVIDIA Firmware Update Utility (Version 5.142)
Adapter: GeForce GT 750M (10DE,0FE4,17AA,3802) H:--:NRM B:02,PCI,D:00,F:00
The display may go *BLANK* on and off for up to 10 seconds during access to the EEPROM depending on your display adapter and output device.

Still, nvflash won't flash it...
The previous ROM is of the exact same size, yet it flashes fine. Strange!
Greetings,
Auke
Not sure what's going on, because what nvflash tells is not true. I'll check again to make double sure. -
Hi,
No, you don'y need to go back to stock v2.02.
When you changed over to the modded v2.02, you created a backup of your stock v2.02.
This file can be used to create you personal v2.04 modded BIOS.
This worked fine for me.
Greetings,
Auke
i am now on svl7 modded 2.02 bios. do i need to flash back to original inorder to flash updated 2.04 modded version?and can i know is there any voltage difference between 650m and 750m on modded bios or they same?
-
Hi,
Already tried that. The results is always the same I'm afraid...
Not sure what's wrong, I'll take a look at it. You can try to force the flash with using -4 -5 -6, might allow you to flash.Reset your bios, go to the bios and load the default settings, if this doesn't help remove the coin cell battery if there's one.

Hm.
Like vito357si, I also get this error while trying to flash the ultrabay GT750M card:
ERROR: PCI Block corrupted - size mismatch
Have tried with both the latest versions of nvflash for DOS and Windows (v5.136 and v5.142 respectively).
The previous FW (80.07.95.00.17 - OC) flashes without problems, the new one does not
Greetings,
Auke
Added the revised vbios to the first post, if you're an SLI user on the latest 2.04 mod I recommend flashing it. -
You mean to flash the ultrabay card?
You can extract the VBIOS from the BIOS using Phoenix Tool. The VBIOS is 152-159KB in size.Flash the extracted VBIOS Works flawlessly for me
If you want I can just upload them for you.

Hi,
My update went fine too (just flashed the latest, corrected v2.04 modded BIOS).
However, similar to another user a few pages back, I cannot flash version 80.07.9D.00.11 on my ultrabay GT750M card, using the latest nvflash utilities (either DOS or Windows).
It keeps saying 'ERROR: PCI Block corrupted - size mismatch'
The previous version 80.07.95.00.17 flashes just fine.
Seems quite weird to me, but not really a problem as the ultrabay card is functioning fine as it is (MODIFIED).
Greetings,
Auke
Nice, just wanted to have a visual confirmation that all is there as intended, hehehe, did you notice the voltage slider? Use with care.Cheers!

Just performed the upgrade.
I used my original v2.02 (stock) backup file for your BiosFixer_2.0.exe utility.
It created the v204mod.bin file just fine.
Flashing from DOS worked fine too
The only thing which is a bit strange is that in the BIOS setup, it still says v2.02.
Is that as intended?
Thanks and greetings,
Auke
Update to 2.04 for all v2.02 and v2.03 users. Should work flawlessly, I still have no machine to test it myself but I see no reason why this would cause issues.Let me know if all is fine.

Hi,
Do I need to go to stock v2.02 BIOS first, or can I go from modded v2.02 to modded v2.04?

I tried a cursory search but couldn't find an answer - does the unlocked BIOS have hot plug options for the sata ports? I turned my ultrabay into an eSATA port, which of course works with a drive connected/powered on boot - but if I can enable hot-swapping, that would definitely make it more convenient. Since this is the only feature I'm interested in, I'm reluctant to flash my BIOS sight unseen.

You should probably black out your Lenovo SN and UUID.
Thanks, just did it.

Hi,
Just for fun I overclocked both my GT750M cards, clock +150 MHz, and memory +350 MHz.

Oh and for the record:
I like the speed of Windows 8. It is a lot snappier than Windows 7.
Also, as a developer, I am beginning to enjoy programming in C++/CX for creating Windows 8 apps (Visual Studio 2012).
-
After reinstating the "proper" start button (StartIsBack) I am perfectly happy with Windows 8 and will not look back. (even though I don't care much for the flat looking windows)

Hi,
Will be using my SLI GT750M machine at home, work and for travel.
Will I need 3 170W power adapters? Or will 120W be fine as long as I do not use the video cards extensively (I will not do gaming, just image processing stuff).

SLI GT750M benchmarks:
Anyone wants to see benchmarks on the new SLI Y500 machine?
-
Hi,
I just received my SLI GT750M Y500 machine.
It seems to run fine although the CPU throttles down when the video cards are used heavily.
Anything to be done about that?

Hi,
Thanks for the updated vbios!
Unfortunately, on my system, the 750M appears not to be unlocked (still the +135 MHz GPU speed limit applies).
The flashing went fine (I ignored the message about wrong PCI subsystem, and flashed with nvflash -i1 -r, followed by nvflash -i1 -6 newrom.rom).
Could you have a look at that please?
Thanks and greetings,
