970m overclocking stable limits

Recommended Posts

I am able to get to 1.275ghz but it crashes at 1.3ghz, I have seen people get it to 1.4ghz, even 1.5ghz

Should I turn up the V, To maybe 1.1 its on 0.9 right now

They managed to get an 8370 to 8.7 GHz but it doesn't mean that you should.

Also, silicon lottery.

You didn't say what laptop you have (how's heatsink designed) or what are the temps - getting higher clocks may generate heat that is not dissipated easily, so it may require you to think about ways to handle that extra heat by changing thermal pads for better ones than stock (Fujipoly for example)
