lqmark Posted November 16, 2014 Share Posted November 16, 2014 Long story short, I have one M18xR1 and one M18xR2 and Radeon 6990m, Quadro K2100m, GTX 770m and FirePro m6100.On the M18xR1, only the 6990m works, perfectly. Other GPUs either show blank screen (no boot) or 8 beeps. I tried Mr Fox procedure [solution] M18x R2 Fails POST with 8 Beeps Switching Graphics Mode from IGFX to PEG - Alienware Forum - Alienware Club - Dell Community but it does not help. It only change from 8 beeps to blank screen.All GPUs work on the M18xR2. But the K2100m, 6990m and 770m make flicker screen for the first few minutes (around 5 to 10) and then the flicker goes away. The m6100 works perfectly, no flicker at all, but the fan does not spin. I use HWiNFO64 to control the fan.The R1 is on A05, The R2 is on R12 BIOS.Anyone have any idea about this. Please help me.
