trineyetra
Hi All,i need some help in cooling my AMD FX-6300 processor. It is running on the stock cooler from AMD but it runs to 75 c within 5 minutes of running any heavy gaming app or any video render. it is running on a ASUS M5A99X EVO mobo. the machine simply shuts down and after turning it on it gives a thermal shutdown error message. Ive tried arctic silver compound but to no avail. Will it work with a liquid cooler ?Pls help im running out of options:disgust:
coldkiss
It sounds like your cooler is not making good contact with the CPU. What is the contact patch like when you remove the stock cooler, has the arctic silver compound spread evenly and thinly across the heatspreader? infosk8er
Any CPU supports liquid coolers, you have to check if the case fits it and fits the radiator and it should work fine.
