I have been waiting on replacing my aging M14x r1, which I've replaced the Samsung 830 with an 840 Pro, until NVMe controller PCIx based storage becomes available in the retail world for pc's and laptops. It's currently available in the commercial world and Samsung does have a model available for it X1715 I know the architecture and speed potential for the storage controller type and architecture will double or quadruple (or more) current SSD speeds. I'm curious what other's thoughts are as to when we may see this in high end laptops?

My guess is EOY 2015. Would it be worth the wait or move to a generation in between? Not sure how fast this might reach consumer level.
