  1. I recently installed a new GTX 770M (Dell version, BIOS 80.06.60.00.01) into my Alienware M15x (BIOS A09) where I used to have a GTX 460M that ran fine... upon powering up after installing the 770, the laptop had a black screen, and I figured it would be this way until I got the latest Nvidia driver downloaded, modded the inf, and installed it. So I hooked it to a separate monitor where it worked fine as I got the driver modded and installed. That all went well and I tested the GPU with furmark, unigine valley, and GTA V... VERY noticeable improvement. Well, I usually don't travel with the laptop, but I wanted to take it to another room and play on it without a second monitor and noticed the screen never returned... it stayed black. I've asked some pals and they said to get a different VBIOS on the card, unlock the M15X's A09 BIOS, do an indian rain dance, blah blah etc.. Before I do anything, I wanted to ask here as I know there are some great minds on this forum. Please help. Thanks in advance.
