I need to verify if it will support one or 2 of them in SLI?? or Get a new Clevo P870 or Eurocom Sky 9XE Unlocked with the 980m's SLI (=$3500)? and then I have to sell my old Beast and if your advice is to go for the new system, what is the best choice?: 1- GTX 980m SLI 2- GTX 980 Desktop 3- Just wait for the GTX 980 Desktop SLI? 4- GTX 1070/1080 if applicable 5- Something else Best Regards.

Hi guys. I have a Clevo P170sm which come with a gtx 770m and now the time has come to put in a 780m. I have done some research into this and I installed the latest Prema bios mod. Thats all the preparation i done. I have thermal pads in the post. Now, the 780m I got is this one from New Nvidia GeForce GTX 780M 4GB DDR5 MXM 3.0 Type B for Clevo Alienware | eBay Is there someone else out there who has done the same thing? Will i need special drivers or will i have to flash the graphics card now? Thanks in advance. Tom.

Among other things. What's the purpose of stopping someone who has already bought the machine from upgrading the components? It just seems like a massive, unnecessary restriction. I've heard that this is on a number of laptops, not just Lenovo. My guess is that you're supposed to buy a whole new laptop when you want a new feature. That way more money is leeched from you. Any other thoughts about why this is?
