I really wanted to get this monster, but settled for a used 9280 and upgraded the cpu/gpu to a 980x and 680m.... Barely fits as is into my messenger bag case with a zalman cooler.

Wasn't it delayed for 6months for a cooling system redesign back in the summer/fall?

with 1050v my max stable OC is 1071/5000. Im looking to get a vbios for 1075v and 1.1v since my temps are great and want to push past 1100 on the core. Hoping one gets sent to me soon!

WOW, I just got the (free/basic) vbios .33 for my Clevo 680m, and was happy to get 900mhz outta my core, was stuck at 601, now to play with memory speed.... any opinions what the cards will do at stock voltage? I got lots of cooling.

I use a Zalman 3000 just like the OP to cool my Clevo D900f, got it for the large fan and large cfm.

One question regarding the 1x pci-e limit, what GPU am i limited to? or at what point is it pointless to get a better card as i have maxed out the 1x port? This is assuming i do not run dual pcie cables tot he laptop.

Seems you can stuff anything in there, it will work.... you'll just be penalized performance wise. A 680 on pcie 1.1 x4 will be ~27% slower then the same card on pcie 3.0 x8.
