  1. Im having a bit of a problem

Im trying to set my g75vw to raid 0 but i have a bit of a problem

I do not have a usb to load the drivers on to my laptop so im wondering if there are any other options like SD card, or CD?

the reason i ask for another option is i live about 50km away from the nearest place that sells any form of usb drive and i need a quick and fast solution.

  2. So i have been wanting to upgrade my asus for a while now but i have some general questions before i dive in and order some parts that might not work.

    My computer specs are:

    Intel core i7 3610qm @ 2.3GHz

    2GB nVidia Gforce 660m

    8GB Ram

    1TB HDD

I want to upgrade my video card, my ram to 16gb and my hard drives to SSD drives, what am i limited to and what are some suggestions that you guys have for upgrades.

  4. Hi all, new here and just looking for a little advice.

I have been looking to buy a laptop for a while now and cannot decide. My boyfriend who is a bit of gamer decided to help me look as he built his own pc and came up with a bit of an extreme model, that being a model the same as a clevo p170em with a 680 graphics card, £1407. I myself am not a gamer but I guess I will sometimes use it to play 2 player games with him. I am however a designer, and use large programs all at the same time like Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. Originally I was looking for a powerful laptop with a sleek design, not too thick or heavy, but now every laptop I compare to the Clevo doesn't even come close, even though I was looking to spend about half of the money.

What I need advice on is, is it worth it to get the Clevo? Is there an alternative laptop from Asus or Acer that would handle my graphics programs well and also provide decent gaming ability whilst being somewhat portable. I would like to see the P170 to see how thick and bulky it actually is but cannot. I realise other laptops will not run the games on the highest settings, but that shouldn't be a problem as I won't be doing a lot of gaming anyway. Just need something that will run smoothly and look decent.

    Many thanks :)

From personal experience i would suggest asus, I own an asusg75vw and it is a solid machine i have had it for almost a year now with no problems, i have not really found a game that i cannot run on it, the only problem that i did have with the computer is the fan noise, i think my fan is off balance or something and it makes a humming noise at certain angles.

  5. I watched The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey the other night again on Blu-Ray. It was such a dazzling movie! The SFX and visuals in it are among the best I've ever seen, Peter Jackson really delivered a masterpiece! The first 40 minutes were somewhat boring as all they do is mess around but then it keeps getting better and better. Richard Armitage's casting as Thorin was also great, he really brought out the character to life.

I agree, I went and seen the hobbit in the theater in 3D and it was such an amazing movie, i was really surprised because going into the movie i thought that it would be a really boring movie, I cannot wait untill the next release.

Also i recently watched the wrong turn series, i know there kind of old but there still good, with the exception of the newer ones, they were horrible compared to the older wrong turn movies.

  6. I have been trying to overclock my g75vw for a while now, the only success i have had is overclocking the 660m Gpu, as for the 3610qm processor mine comes with... i have not had any success with this part yet.
