Try this. - - - Updated - - - @thegh0sts follow this guide http://forum.techinferno.com/nvidia/6307-%5Balienware%5D-aftermarket-upgrades-driver-support-modded-inf-54.html#post141270 just skip XTU, then install http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=7GM0D reboot, F8 "DSE" install NV v353.62 from HERE Finally >install AW OSD through WU< https://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=compal%20

Not you man... @haXBOXpro use this tool to prevent updates https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930Disable updates under "Device installation settings". Still, WU won't download Graphics drivers "Aftermarket upgrades" missing/matching HWIDs... NVCPL -> Manage 3D settings -> set Power Management mode to "Adaptive" (Globally), Program Settings -> add all applications/games and set Power Management mode to "High Performance" / dedicated.
-
Run DDU, F8 "DSE". Re-download v353.62 from HERE, install using nv_dispi.inf (PEG) . - - - Updated - - - Yep, DDU works fine. Press F8 to boot into Safe Mode.
-
These are not Wood's mods, dropbox above v353.17 are laptopvideo2go's. Solo wing's post mentioning v352.84 is my inf mod from here http://forum.techinferno.com/nvidia/6307-%5Balienware%5D-aftermarket-upgrades-driver-support-modded-inf-31.html#post136061 As I said before link my work instead. Some of my mods are not only HWIDs but include specific tweaks. Regarding laptopvideo2go, they surely deserve better...mention their work.
-
Nothing serious... just keep reseating the card, 2 screws only no need to remove the heat sink.
-
Check the motherboard insulating black plastic. Try cleaning the gold connectors w/ a soft dry cloth and then reseat the card a few times.
-
No need to re-install windows. F8 "Safe Mode" DDU uninstall both drivers and reboot. Install first Intel HD, reboot and then install Nv. cmd (Admin) sfc/ scannow -> reboot.
-
v353.17 http://forum.techinferno.com/nvidia/6307-%5Balienware%5D-aftermarket-upgrades-driver-support-modded-inf-36.html#post136516 Still, v352.84 shouldn't throttle.
-
Nope, set stock clocks 1038/2505 P0/P1 matching. NVCPL force dedicated graphics...all games.
-
Did you disable driver signing using F8 method? NVCPL set to high performance, add games/applications it's probably running optimus.
-
Follow instructions...first install Intel MEI v11.0.0.1157 then reboot and finally install XTU. Link my mods instead https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rwe2gxu5bz5y9k6/AAC86isvtF59MzEesByipAP3a?dl=0 P-states matching, stock clocks instead 1038/5012 or install v352.84 -> http://forum.techinferno.com/nvidia/6307-%5Balienware%5D-aftermarket-upgrades-driver-support-modded-inf-31.html#post136061

Please post HWID -> Device manager -> Display Adapters -> Details -> Hardware Ids. First disable driver signing. Windows 10 upgraded/activated. MSA -> Devices -> check Alienware XXXXX. Clean install windows 10 using available ISOs, always skip product key -> just activate w/ your MSA login. After some testing, I found a solution for Windows 10 Build 10240 TDRs w/ v353.49 & v353.50, including XTU permission error. *7-Zip* "Extract to" desktop. First install/enable .NET 3.5 -> Plug in the USB drive with Windows 10 installation files. cmd (Admin) -> replace "X" w/ the proper drive letter. DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:X:\sources\sxs 'F8' Boot options 'Safe Mode' - 'Disable driver Signing' cmd (Admin) bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy -> Reboot Install Intel Chipset Drivers v10.0.27 http://www.station-drivers.com/index.php/downloads/Drivers/Intel/Chipset-Device-Software/Serie-10.x/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-Version-10.0.27-WHQL/ cmd (Admin) cd C:\Users\username\Desktop\Chipset_v10.0.27\SetupChipset.exe -> Reboot Install Intel MEI v11.0.0.1157 cmd (Admin) cd C:\Users\username\Desktop\Intel MEI_v11.0.0.1157\MEISetup.exe -> Reboot -> F8 'Disable Driver Signature Enforcement'. Install DirectX SDK (June 2010) *Steam CommonRedist* -> Visual C++ both 32-bit & 64-bit: 12.0, 11.0, 10.0, 9.0 from HERE Install XTU -> XTU-Setup-exe.exe right click "Run as Administrator". Just skip this step if you have never installed XTU before. -> Reboot F8 'Safe Mode' uninstall current NV drivers -> DDU "Clean & shutdown" option. F8 -> 'DSE'. Extracted NV driver package -> copy/overwrite nvcvwu.inf -> run setup.exe -> Reboot -> F8 'DSE' Install AW OSD, extract w/ 7-Zip -> M18xR2_M17xR4_v0.32.0.8C_A00.EXE -> Alienware 18_17_v0.33.0.11C_A01.EXE cmd (Admin) e.g. M17xR4 cd C:\Users\username\Desktop\Application_N9PMP_WN_0.32.0.8C_A00\setup.exe -> Reboot Edit: M18xR2/M17xR4 Compal v1.0.0.4 Win10 driver (below), no need to install OSD. Use have disk method.
