Bios Prema not seen Gtx980M version v.1

I thing you loose screen brightness control when using the older base...if you don't need that then no problem, otherwise you will have to wait for the next update...

He did not recognize good 4930XM clocks I've had it up to 3.6GHz

Yeah, just disable the GPUs driver in device manager then flash, reboot and re-enable the driver.

I don't see why Alienware would be any different from any other manufacturer, I don't see what could be blocking it, unless it's a restriction that Alienware have put into their BIOS that's not allowing an upgrade to 900 series.

My 780M was also a clevo one like yours. So I would say it is using the same vbios. I am currently using svl7's unlocked vbios from here.

Skip disabling the integrated sound card, Creative SC shouldn't have issues with the 780m.

Welcome back There is no way to run an image on the CLEVO GTX780M in M18xR2:( I've done everything right and no effect: ( Soon I'll have a GTX 780 but versions DELL:) Clevo sells versions at an attractive price. 'll Let you know how it went with the version of Dell

Yes bros, i think i am getting more and more desperate, it is now more than 2 months after i got my 780m and every single solution to get it working in my R2 has Failed, this started to make me think about a solutions that wold most likely end up...badly.

What is your laptop model ? Do you sometimes not M18x R2 ? Because it's been a week of time trying to run GTX 780M

The thing in red, is disabling the onboard Internal Graphics Device (IGD), which i disabled already.

I doubt my screen is not supported....even if this would be 4263x1567 resolution it should work

I ordered second heatsink, because i have enough of switching, and wasting thermal paste, so i should start testing again next week, till then, i will gather info, as usually.

LaptopMonkey on ebay claims that they have done the upgrade and it is working super-duper, it may be as well a bite for me to buy a card from them, i dont know....i said to them ''screenshot or it did not happen'' and all they had to say that it is working and thats it, no reassurance or whatever.

welcome back :)Unfortunately, my 780M does not send the image to an external monitor vga ,hdmi The system starts up with the sounds of windows - but damn no picture ! therefore it is not possible burst of flashes on the modified VBIOS In other words, nothing I can do arghh...Do gtx780m Clevo card does not match the M18xr2 ?? delowskiej 780m because I do not have possibility to buy Anyway, we already sailed with cash and to run the current lack of luck Clevo 780m

IGP = Integrated Graphics Processor. You disabled it by switching from IGFX to PEG mode. Since the integrated works and the discrete does not, switch back to IGFX so we can diagnose the 780m.

And the default windows driver will still turn on external monitors if the internal is not detected. It will only switch one display on however. This is why desktop users can install graphics card drivers without a built in display.

in other words, I now have 660m in grabs and mode transitions IGP.? then put 780m and re-enable notebook , nothing tomorrow I will act thank you

See if external monitors work. If not then turn your IGP back on. If you can't see in BIOS pulling your CMOS and main battery may reset the BIOS to use the iGPU. Once you get the iGPU running go see if the BIOS and windows device manager see it.

IGP option is not in my BIOS while the external monitor without driver will not see you card :(Damn the M17xR3 there was no such problems The M18x R2 huge disappointment
