Trying to pick up some of that knowledge from you two, overclocking masterminds.
I'm joining the XM club now, with a fresh 3940XM.

Can't wait to be rocked by some more 780M benches, John.

Hehehe, sounds good! I'm still with my M15x, currently featuring a 780m (not mine though, only borrowed) and it performs like never before... Though a new system would be cool, mainly for benching
Which is exciting to watch, for the rest of us.
My M18x R2 often has a 7 - 10 degree difference at idle. Usually the primary GPU is under a small amount of load, keeping it a bit warmer.

Thanks for the information, Natalia. I always wondered how people did this, but never looked into it. I also agree that disabling startup items is a great way to reduce bootup time.

Hmm, back when i first purchased my M17x R3 (September 2011) it came with Steam, and a free Copy of Portal. I purchased my M18x R2, (Semptember 2012) with the Steam option, and it came with Dota2. Other than that, I'm not sure.

Yes, please! I would also like to see an article on this.

I believe GPU #0 is on the left and GPU #1 is on the right. The differences should be because GPU #1 is not under load. A 10 degree difference is normal when you aren't doing anything that utilizes that GPU.
