I recently got my hands on a used 2570p. It was dirt cheap, tidy and had no problems so I thought it would make a great little laptop for traveling, and it wouldn't be that bad if it broke or got stolen.
Anyway, everything was working fine, I installed an SSD, windows 10 and all the latest drivers until this morning opened the laptop and there was no sound. Windows says that there is no audio device installed, so I tried installing the audio drivers again, but the installer doesn't allow me to do that, because the hardware is not there. So I went to the Windows hardware manager, and there are no audio devices. Next I restored BIOS defaults, and checked that audio is enabled and still nothing. I even wiped the system and reinstalled windows with no luck.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix it or is a hardware problem? I recently updated the BIOS, could going back to an older one help, or is it even possible?

This is extremely weird. I had not touched the laptop since posting this and and booted it up just now. And guess what, I get the windows start up sound! The problem literally fixed itself. So weird...
