  1. I've read a guy's comment in different forum saying you wouldn't get the benefit of 1600MHz RAM on 2630QM. Is that true?

Is it still possible to get the benefit of 1600MHz RAM in 2630QM?

**I'm currently using 2630QM and not planning on upgrade because AFAIK it's better upgrading the GPU than CPU.

(I've been planning to upgrade my MS1761 GPU from GTX570M to 7970M rather than 2630QM to 2760QM etc)

Yes its true and I agree with Brian about it.

Does anybody here tried a memory with 1600mhz DDR3 memory on a GT780DX that did work? I just want to know if it did work on the 2630qm processor :)

  2. tom6561 i agree to that... since what happen to may laptop.. i tried to plugin every time if i need to go battery mode i just make sure i don't fully drain my battery or if windows prompt me a warning message.

  3. @Brian

thanks for the reply.. yeah I'm ok with that, is just that price for the corsair vengeance is a greate deal. The specs and backward compatibility is ok.. but i need some expert advice from you guys.

    - its weird i could not see my previous post. i got it there detailed reply hehehehe

  4. Hi newbie here... i recently experience this issue but it was fixed already, and wanted to share the issue or maybe some of the TECH Gurus could explain :)

I got a GT780dx, when i tried to fully drain my battery to the point my laptop shutdown, then tried to plug in the unit with the AC adaptor suddenly the laptop wont both and worst i could not get to the F10, F3 anf F11 menus. Is it a bad idea to fully drain the battery monthly or bi-monthly? What I've read in this thread is pretty much correct and best practice. thanks

I am currently successfully running 4 x 8GB DDR3 1600MHz from Crucial 1,35v modules, and it does run at dual channel rate of ~800MHz per channel, and by thespec sheet of intel it should not run 1600MHz memory and it should not run 32GB DDR3 memory because Im runing i7-2670QM cpu, but it runs just fine.

is it running in very stable? cause you Processor information can run up 32GB but on 1066/1333 only and yet you have 1600, i want to run use corsair vengeance 2x4GB but it 1600 and my motherboard and CPU only supports 1066/1333 also. you information will be a great help. thanks :)

@Xonar question again and i'm sorry for not doing some back tracking on the this topic but is this also compatible for non RAID units for GT780?? thanks sonar
